Okely-Dokely, it's been a while since GT4 came out, and this is a car forum, so there's bound to be GT4 fans somewhere here and I'd be willing to wager that we have some pretty handy 'ringmiesters hanging around this forum.

So, it's time to start a N?rburgring laptime comp.

Do your laps in GT mode, and PM me your laptimes and I'll update this top post with the times. I'll try to keep it as up to date as I possibly can.

Feel free to post your times here, but make sure I know about it so it gets on the board!!

The times will be divided into categories for better comparison. There's no use having a massive list of cars with an Audi R8 at the top and a 2CV at the bottom. I've already laid down a few sample ones to start, but as the times come rolling in, I'll edit them to better suit the type of cars that are preferred. Any argument over category placement is welcome as you may have better reasoning for category placement than I do. In the event of a dispute, as the thread starter, my category placement is final.

Submit your times to me in the following format:

8:38.431, Nissan Skyline HT 2000 GT-R (KPGC10) '70, 160BHP, SM/SM, WS, TCS:0/ASM:0, DFP

Okay, to break down, 8:38.431 is the laptime, followed by the Make and Model of the car including the year, power IN BHP read from the 'Settings' page, tyres front/back, Weight (WS = Standard, W1 = Stage 1, W2 = Stage 2, W3 = Stage 3), Driving aids and their level, and controller type.

The rules are simple:
- Laps must be done in GT mode, Time Trial or Free Run. No other cars on the track so slipstreaming can't muddy our times.
- If all four wheels of your car go off the track, that lap doesn't count.
- If you hit something, the lap doesn't count.
- Car spec is open, but it will be classed accordingly. If your car has over 10% more horsepower than standard, it will be classed as Modified, if your car is weight reduction stage 2 or 3, it will be classed as modified.

As the rules aren't really enforcable, I'm relying on your honesty to keep this board clean. This is a benchmark for us fans to measure ourselves against other FinalGear GTers. If you want to be an idiot, go and flaunt the size of your e-penis somewhere else.

Excellent, so the groundwork is in place, here's the board:

Hmm didn't find it when looking b4, but it's limited. This is an open ended comp without limitation, therefore the potential is different. This board is also about comparison, not just getting the fastest possible with said specs. For instance, I've started this board with a lap done by a car from 1970, a car from 1970 on that board has no chance.
