btw my first thought was chevy vette, and older models have quite the same looking wheel.

edit : ah no look, it's the 1998 impreza.

Early Foresters have the same interior as the MY98-99 Imprezas.

i think heater controls were in different slots and Forester has wider central tunnel. but i'm not even 1% sure, just a guess.
AND forester has different gauges alignment.
 
We've got a 97 Forester at work and that's what it looks like. The only differences are the Forester has a bin where that little computer screen is, normal black dials and a low range lever next to the shifter.

the point is the gauges are in different positions. they could have restyled it twenty zillion times tho :D
 
cant believe i didnt recognise that, my mates got a 97 Impreza that i see on most days...

none made in 98...

99-05 was called the NB

current is called the NC

madpsi didnt get it because he said the newer one... the interior from the 06 one is totally different :)

so yea, they have different names for each generation... that one is the NB
