Shelby Series 1 was a high-performance roadster designed by automobile legend, Carroll Shelby and produced by Shelby American.

It was powered by Oldsmobile's 4.0 L L47 Aurora V8 engine. It has 320 horsepower and will do 0-60mph in better than 4.5 seconds and records 12.8 in the quarter mile at 112mph. Top speed is 185 mph?some 15 mph faster than the 427 Shelby Cobra. The 1998 car weighed 1202 kg/2650 lbs.

Production ceased, but a Series 2 is expected to debut in August of 2006.

Why exchange it?

Drive one. We were lucky enough (or unlucky enough, however you want to look at it) to get a used SRX (a base model at $43,000 with 24,000mi), under the GM "Employee discount" thing they had last year, plus about $3,000 off becuase of my parents GM Discover Reward Points, and about $13,000 off in a trade in of our 2000 Denali. So basically we got it for $24,0000.

But after owning it for awhile, we realized it didnt fit us quite right. It wasn't quite big enough to haul the occasional large loads my father would have with his photography equpitment, the turning radius was worse than the Denali's (yeah, believe it or not it.), and TBH the quality of the interior was really poor for the cost of the car. There were A TON of rattles and shakes in the gigantic sunroof (but that was such a cool feature  ). We traded it in, bought an Escalade, and right now my father is kicking him self everytime he starts it and sees "Average Econ: 13.3 mpg" on the display.

I'm not sure if the SRX is the answer, so I won't post a new submission. I'm goin to bed, so I'll post one in the mo'nin. 8)

Well, you were right, so post away :D
