BMW 7-series model 2006 already extensively refined
Published: November 21st, 2005

Top model in the HAMANN-range is the HM 7.1, based on the BMW 760i/Li. Increased in displacement (7.1 litre), the 12-zylinder produces 510 hp / 375 kW and 728 Nm after leaving the HAMANN workshop. With this power the luxury car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in only 5 seconds and has now a top speed of 312 km/h.

? HM 7.1 with 510 hp und HM 5.2 mit 412 hp
? Extensive aerodynamics program
? Sporty alloy wheel ?ANNIVERSARY I? available up to 22?

The HAMANN displacement increase to 7,080 ccm is made via the installation of a special crankshaft, the boring up of the cylinders and the fitting of bigger forged pistons. In addition the two cylinder-heads of the V12 four valve engine get machined and sport camshafts are installed. The tune-up also contains modifications on the air induction, the installation of a stainless steel made high performance exhaust system including special manifolds and metal-bed catalysators and a recalibrated ECU which perfectly coordinates all components. Of course the modified ECU also eliminates the standard electronic speed limit of 250 km/h. The conversion to HAMANN HM 7.1 specification improves maximum power from standard 445 hp / 327 kW to 510 hp / 375 kW at 6,000 rpm. Simultaneously the maximum torque grows from 600 Nm to 728 Nm at 4,200 revs. Accordingly the road performances of the 760i/Li are improved: the tuned luxury limousine only takes 5.0 seconds from 0 ? 100 km/h. Maximum speed is 312 km/h.

The 745i/Li models can be upgraded with the HAMANN HM 5.2 increased displacement engine delivering 412 hp / 303 kW at 6,100 rpm and 550 Nm of maximum torque at 3,900 revs. The tuned V8 luxury limousine accelerates in 5.8 seconds from 0 ? 100 km/h. Maximum speed is 282 km/h.

HAMANN also offers stainless steel sport exhaust systems for all current BMW 7 Series models which are available with or without exhaust manifolds and metal bed catalysators.

To realize these road performances it is necessary to fit special high performance tires. HAMANN furnishes the 7 Series BMW with HAMANN PG3 22-inch light alloy wheels. The multi-piece five-spoke rims with high-polished outside well perfectly fill the wheel houses in sizes 9.5 J x 22 front and 10.5 J x 22 or even 11.5 x 22 on the rear axle. They chose the dimensions 265/30 ZR 22 in front and 295/25 ZR 22 rear as optimal tires. Available from now on is the new alloy wheel ?ANNIVERSARY I? in 22?.

The HAMANN tuning program for the BMW 7 Series of the E 65 / E 66 / E 67 range also provides the HAMANN high performance brake system with vented and perforated 380 millimeter discs and 8-pot calipers on the front axle.

To give the new BMW a wedge-shaped lowering, HAMANN offers progressively coiled sport springs. With them the bodywork is lowered about 40 millimeters front and about 20 millimeters rear.

The modern design of the 7 Series can be refined using sporty yet elegantly styled HAMANN bodystyling components. The HAMANN front spoiler, which is fixed on the standard bumper, doesn?t only give the car a more prominent face, it also minimizes the lift on the front axle at high speeds. The HAMANN side skirts and the HAMANN door panels make the limousine look lower and more stretched. The HAMANN rear panel with integrated diffuser harmonically rounds out the exciting design of the HAMANN body conversion in conjunction with the HAMANN sport side mirrors. In addition, the 7 Series can be made even more individual with the HAMANN roof wing and the HAMANN rear spoiler.

To upgrade the interior HAMANN provides exclusive accessories such as an ergonomically designed airbag-sport-steering-wheel with walnut-wood grip zones, aluminium pedals and exclusive floor mats with HAMANN logo. The cockpit of the limousine can be also designed more individually with custom-made HAMANN full leather trims. The HAMANN interior appointments are available in any desired color.
Very nice....just don't look at the back of it  :yucky:

The rear lights were just 'pasted' on without thought using scissors and glue...oh and that rear spoiler and wind deflector thingy at the top is horrendous!
Well you have to keep the back down somehow at 300+k ;) Especially with that huge heavy engine in the front.
Nice!! :)
But yeah, don't look at the back...
Granted, they do have to keep the back down somehow at those crazy speeds but surely there's better looking alternatives...?
And the rear lights... yuk.

I'm not the world's biggest fan of the newer BMWs, or ricing stuff up, but this... this is sweet. Hamann can really pull of some nice stuff. I know someone who owns a 3 series Hamann, tis very very nice...
^Easily better alternatives. Look at the 350km/h Brabus ROCKET & EV12. That 7'er's rear spoiler(s) look more like rice than anything else which doesnt suit it.

Besides, I rekon the people who buy em' won't take em over 200 anywayz...but that dont matter I guess.

Yeah, I was thinking that too... But I guess they'll still want it to look mighty fast...
too much going on in the back, the rest looks surprisingly good. the headlights reminds me of a last gen 3-series.
It just seems that everyone has been complaining about how ugly the 7-series looks. Well, I liked the one before the redesign more than the current one. Although this one looks more businesslike while the other one had a more aggressively proportioned front. And I liked the trunk lid.
Wow, that is one beautiful 7 series.
I really like the front, but the side skirts aren't great, and all those spoilers on the rear windows & bootlid are awful
