HARTGE highlight in Essen
The first thing that strikes you is the two-tone paint work, the special air-outlets on the bonnet and wings, as well as the HARTGE front-spoiler lip and the HARTGE rear spoiler. The 3 series BMW from the Saarland ? to be more exact, the HARTGE H50 V10 ? is a masterwork in many ways and not all of them visual. In particular, the HARTGE engineers and mechanics have achieved something very special under the thermodynamically optimised bonnet. Fitted with a modified M5 V10 engine, a 7-speed SMG gear box and the HARTGE modification to raise maximum speed from the electronically limited 250 km/h to 320 km/h, the H50 V10 puts all its power ? 550 bhp and torque of 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) ? onto the tarmac via a reinforced rear axle and a special suspension setup that is adjustable in terms of both rebound and compression. Also new and made especially for the HARTGE H50 V10, is the stainless steel exhaust system, which turns the V10 sound into an acoustic delight. Customers can choose between two dual round (or oval) tail pipes. The wheel / tyre combination consists of 9 x 20 offset 40 at the front and 10 x 20 offset 40 at the back fitted with 245/30 ZR 20 and 285/25 ZR 20 Continental tyres respectively.

Last but not least: the HARTGE H50 V10 interior: Particularly striking are, besides the 330 km/h speedometer, the carbon interior trim, the 3-spoke leather steering wheel with carbon inserts, the illuminated leather / aluminium gear knob and the leather / aluminium handbrake cover.

With the H50 V10, HARTGE is continuing its long tradition of making wolves in sheep's clothing for individualists who attach importance to understatement: HARTGE ? the elegant way to drive fast.

The H50 V10 is based on the BMW 3 series saloon (E90). A comparable conversion is currently being developed for the Touring (E91) and Coup? (E92).

Is it just me or does that pic look a lot like a photoshop (hoodvents and along the sides)? Either way it looks pretty hectic. I like!

Whats more hectic is that engine! "Modified M5 V10 engine"! From 507BHP to 550...that is sweet-as :woot:

Yeah looks like a PS, but anyway, gives you a good idea of what the car will look more or less. ;)

looks fake to me when i look at the side of the car. but that looks pretty intense, i wonder how quick it is to 60.

I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later and I just love the idea...

why is the car so angry :p

Good lord, Hartge are nutters, absolute nutters.... ain't it great? What an awesome creation

Oooh! And before BMW even released pics of the new M3. Kind of a low blow. Awesome car though. Let's see some tests.

HAHA!! I didn?t think of the M3. Who would want an M3 after seeing this!?
HAHAHAHA

I wonder what this one costs, probably twice of what the M3.

WOW that's McShiny!

I read ?125000 on a German car site, but I dont know whether VAT is included in that number.

The car sounds great, but to be an Understatement car it should really lose vents.

if the past H50 is something to go by i still want the M3 ..
H50s have always been crazy to drive .. and the last H50 was slower on a track then a M3 GTR (same engine.. more power inn the H50)

Hartge H50s are crazy .. but they miss something important..
they have the power.. but the rest has never been right...

That is insane. I love those wheels too. TBH, if I had the money to buy and M5, I'd seriously consider one of those instead. The 5 Series is quite a big car, so an 3 series shell would be better IMO.

The thing that impresses me about all of Hartge's conversions is that they look totally stock. How the hell they make a 5-Litre V10 fit in a 3 series and make it seem like it was always designed like that is beyond me. Being German though, they always do it properly!
