From Napster, I downloaded a bunch of music files which are protected (licensed) WMA format files.
When I tried to add them to iTunes, I got the massage saying that iTunes cannot convert protected WMA format files to AAC format files.

So, to get to the point, I need to know how do I conver a protected WMA file to AAC format (or any other format which iTunes will recognize).
I am really desperate because my free trial will expire in couple of day
If you guys know how to conver or know a program which can do this, then PLEASE tell me.... I THANK YOU FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE.

You could use an audio editor like Adobe Auditon or Cool Edit Pro (or Audacity, which is free) and then play the files in windows Media Player while you record them into the audio editor one by one, then encode as mp3 or whatever.

Or better yet, there may be a convertor out there that will make the process easier, but this is one solution that is guaranteed to work ;) I had to do this after buying some downloads from Walmart

i want your version of iTunes! :woot:

iTunes automatically converts file types to suit itself so if its not doing it, your gonna have to do it yourself.

I once did it when I had to convert WMV>MPG. I used dBpowerAmp Music Converter. It worked really well

I dunno what "ACC" format is and I don't know of iTunes supported formats so thats all the help I can give. Good luck!
