This is what fake models are for. Fucking hell.
im part of the ones that dont get why people get upset with movies fucking up expensive cars. sure, they are amazing pieces of machinery, but they are production cars, there are more of them around. as for me, I couldnt care less. the cars arent mine, so why would it matter?
alot more amazing cars are being used by fucking faggots that wear hats and drive with their hand at 12oclock. why dont you people bitch at that too?
fbc, artwork isnt mass produced, its not something they have plans for and can make another one anytime they want.
Only 2 CGTs? ONLY 2 ?!?! Are you completely retarded ?!? How the hell can you even consider saying ONLY 2, when one is horrible enough...
I admire the engineering feats of the Carrera GT already hugely enough, but that hurts even more, because it happens to be my favourite supercar of all time.
I mean come on, that's like, what, over $1.000.000 worth of Porsche ? Surely you could have done it with less money by building a good replica and most importantly NOT WRECK SOMETHING THAT AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL

They also crashed an ezo for the film..

Agreed. They could at least make the crashes look somewhat realistic. From what it shows in that video, they look horrible. Normally I'm totally against using CGI to create an entire effect because I think it should only be used to enhance a real one. But in this case I'd be all for doing total CGI crashes. They would certainly look more believable than the crap these guys have come up with.To me the car is beautiful machinery with a lot of thought and effort of people who cared about making it. Then it is destroyed and all their work is lost for an effect. To me that ruins it.
That was for some charity event, from what I've heard.
A few points:
Halicki, as far as I understood it, never really destroyed anything iconic. I could be wrong as I haven't seen Junkman, Dead Line Auto, or the incompleted Gone in 60 Seconds 2.
No, they're saying "Come see our awesome cool movie, we're taking your dream cars that you love and adore and destroying them and giving about as much thought about them as you would your neighbor's Corolla."
I don't know about Porsche, but Ferrari does screen its Enzo buyers. I believe that you have to have owned two Ferraris before you made the short list to get an Enzo. Perhaps someone can expand on/verify this...?
If you werent hand selected by Ferrari to be able to purchase an Enzo, then you had to apply to buy one. You needed to own 5 other Ferraris (including one F40 and one F50), and been a customer for more than 20 years just be considered.
