I would like to extend an invite to all of you to attend the car show I have been producing for 4 years. The show is called Dubs Along the Rockies and it is held in Colorado Springs, CO on Sunday June 26th.

We will have a car show, autocross, slow drags, and a swap meet. We will also have discounted chipping by the Revo, GIAC and APR. To make it even more interesting, SCR Performance and APR will be holding a track day at Second Creek Raceway on Friday the 24th for anyone who is interested, and they will be providing free lunch to anyone who RSVP's before the 22nd. Speak with Mark Baer from SCR at 970-203-1127 to get on the list. On top of that the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is set for Saturday the 25th, so this has the makings of a REALLY fun automotive weekend for those who can make it!

If you would like more info on the show, check out the following links:

what about the rest of the german crowd?
vw audi i can understand, but how did the big p get inthere?

Did you forget that they are all the same company? On the watercooled side of things Audi and VW are tied together, and share LOTS of parts! On the aircooled side of thing VW and Porsche grew up together, so all three tied together make a perfect fit!

the vw & porsche relationship is looong gone.

so why no bimmer love?

If it's "looong" gone, then why did they jointly develope the platform for the Touareg/Cayenne/Q7?

The show originally started as a VW only event... the natural progression led us to where we are, but that is as far as it goes. There is nothing wrong with BMW's but they have nothing to do with this event or the "bloodline" we are focused on.

Not to mention that I am a VW guy from WAAAY back, and it is my show... 8) We have a good time each and every year, and if you can make it come say hi to me!!

Believe me if I lived with 100 miles, I'd go :)

Post pics tho! :D

I agree that they have kind of grown apart recentlly, but going back to my original statement the AIRCOOLED cars produced by VW and Porsche share a LOT.

I had three guys drive BUGGIES from Houston last year, and a few New Beetle guys came up from Dallas.... each of them placed if I recall correctly, and Houston is not all that far! I drive to Austin 6 times a year!
