High upload rates but low d/l rates? Why?

I use BitComet 0.60 and I keep uploading at 20-30 KB/s but only get a measly 3-4 KB/s. Why?

By the time I download something, my download/upload ratio is 2.5.

If I limit my uploads, my download becomes almost 0 KB/s.

Btw, I can't use Azureus because of the stupid NAT problem which I can't solve.

are you behind a router? You may have to forward your bittorrent port...

Seriously, just use uTorrent. It is the best. I'v had a few friends who are crap with bit torrent and they had the same problem. I told them about uTorrent and they said "problem fixed".
