Historic Car Show 2006

gotta agree with you there my friend - I love classic cars, off to another show this weekend in fact - the Woodvale Air Rally (also includes cars) - looking forward to it :)

Here's another one from the Southport Historic Motor Show anyway:

Back to the jags as you can see - I love these front on shots :)

here's another one:

and quite a fine example, I'm sure you'll agree. Though I've always preferred the XJS myself - especially the V12 ones :D

and here are her wheels:

I love spokes on a car - genius! :D Bet they're a nightmare to wash though

Well, ordinarily I only take one pic per car as my cam only has 256MB - even on 3MP, that'll soon run out! Anyway, my gf liked this car so much she insisted on my taking two pics. Well, can't say I blame her to be honest.

I like to see anyone try to deny that the E-Type is one of the sexiest cars ever made, if not THE sexiest! :)

here is a comment:

I've always wanted an 80s XJ6 or XJ8 with a Chevy 5.7 liter V8 or 8.2 liter V8. Would take care of the power and reliability problems along with the high cost of maintenance.

problem with jags is that you might as well say you drive a chrysler or sth, people will be equally interested, i.e. not at all

over here a pretty large number of jags have been sold in the past,
especially these

but nowadays they are worth shit, and you won't even get 5000? for them
so almost everyone driving those older mercs is still the first owner, and those who drive new ones are still those old men, caus the only reason they bought it is that the dealer would take their old car over in return for some discount
(i know one who has one like that standing in his garage unused, simply caus he can't get it sold, if he bought a new one, the dealer would give him 3500? discount in return for the old car, the guy offered the car to me for the same price, but i politly refused :) )

all this doesn't mean you can't continue posting nice pics ;)

Onto something a bit more interesting then huh? :)

A Ferrari 355 (I think) - any better?

i sure wouldn't refuse if someone offered me that for 3500?

Here's another Ferrari shot:

Not sure why, but my camera always seems to struggle with yellow Ferraris - I guess they are quite sinful though, so it's justifiable :p

Here's a weird one that was in the Ferrari section:

http://img408.imageshack.**/img408/4339/historicmotorshow2006024co6.jpg

It went round the track at the end of the day and sounded like it had a motorbike engine - really don't know what it is or how it's related to Ferrari, if it is at all. I'm guessing it had something to do with Gran Turismo 4 tho :p

looks a bit like a westfield

Looks like a replica to me... (Check the bit behind the rear side window for instance).

may well be - I don't know.

anyway, here's another (or perhaps the first) Ferrari:

I love the lines on this car :)

here's another car that got two pics - simply because one pic isn't enough to display the absolute beauty of this car:

It's a Lamborghini Countach in case you don't know, not sure how original it is, but I love it :) Great number plate too :)
