Hello everyone,

I am getting married in less than 30 day's and my new wife and I are heading to the Italian country side. Our current plan is to site see in Rome, Florence & Venice with a quick stop at the Ferrari Museum and Pagani Factory.

I want to know if anyone has any restaurant recommendations or sites i just have to see on our travels. Also we prefer the local restaurants/Mom & Pop places to fast food chains.

P.S. when I was growing up I always heard of an Italian restaurant that Enzo Ferrari would take its new F1 Drivers to when they signed for the Prancing horse. Does anyone know what the name and address of this restaurant is?

Thanks,

All info is welcome.

... bring a nose clip. I remember Florence in particular being very smelly especially on warm days. I still liked Florence, which says a lot how great a city it is ... but my nose is not too fond about the Florence memories ...

Don?t go to Pisa to see the stupid leaning tower and a million chinese tourists - go to San Gimignano or Siena instead.

As for restaurants, I would simply advise for checking the usual online-portals yelp and tripadvisor.

Also plan a day for a small hike around the Cinque Terre.

Avoid Pisa. Florence is nice enough but San Ginigano and Siena are really awesome with a ton of post card views. Luca is also nice.

I did the Ferrari Museum a couple of years ago and it was pretty good. It didn't blow my mind but it ticked all the boxes that it should. Make sure to check in advance with Pagani. I made the mistake to not check if they where open and they where ofcourse closed the day we went to see them.

Edit: I would also recommend doing a tour of a vinyard. Many of them have a ton of history and you get to taste some of the local produce with the wine like cheese, sausages, olive oils etc.

I have 0 knowledge of Italy, but congrats on the pending nuptials

If you can get your hands on Monty Don's Italian Gardens there are some fantastic places to vist in it

Verona is lovely. Only half an hour or so from Venice on the train and probably a cheaper place to stay.

You guys have sensitive noses.

Another thumbs up for Siena. My sister got married there several years ago and it's a great little town to visit.
