Pretty much takes away most of my complaints about the first game. The rain effects are pretty good. Still not as good/terrifying as GT5 and like nearly every other game featuring weather, the wipers are locked on slow-speed, and the rain on the windshield doesn't seem to intimidating. I'm anxious to see how the game looks at night, but so far it looks great.

I look at that and I'm like "Great, I can drive all through Southern Europe in fast cars", but then the actual racing part leaves me completely cold. Same as in Test Drive Unlimited, great locations, great cars, but the racing is always awful (just like in that second video).

What I want is proper track racing like in GT6 and then an open world mode just to drive around and chill out. Having to drive from track to track would be a good compromise too

Saw a let's play of the demo today and I might be biased by the fact that he was driving the Bowler Nemesis EXR but it looked pretty good and also made me want an XBone. I'm not sure I want it enough to cough up ?400 but it's nice to see that the Forza series can still be appealing.

Really loved the demo. I still don't care for the 'Horizon Festival, bro!' nonsense but otherwise it's really impressed me.

Racing the Frecce Tricolori in a Huracan was my favorite bit so far.

I wanted to try this on the 360 but the bastards didn't make a demo, kind of makes me want to avoid buying it just because they're being dicks to 360 owners. I might hate the driving physics once I play it and there's no way I'm buying an XBone just for the demo.

Now I've actually watched some comparison videos I'm glad that my walk in the rain at lunch time got me nowhere because I would've been massively disappointed. This leaves me with only one option though if I want to play this... I'm going to have to buy an XBone.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. I loved the hell out of the first one and I was tempted to get it for 360 but the comparison videos show just how bad the 360 version looks. I mean even on it's own it's not that great looking.

I want it for Xbone but I'm not going to buy a console just for this game.

Ding Ding Ding! Of course they do, Microsoft are probably the worst because they make Windows and can therefore dictate which platform people buy their games on. I'd rather enjoy the game than dwell on it though.

Is there a Final Gear club on Xbone? Been playing on an off, I've been having fun with it. The cross country stuff is not very realistic, but it is fun. Which I guess is more important.

I assume there isn't with so few players. If not we could get it started, it would be nice to have some multiplayer action going since we haven't raced together for over a year and hardly anyone seems to play Forza 5.

I remember racing against it, I think.

My XBone arrived yesterday and I spent all yesterday evening playing it (after the bloody install time, wasn't expecting that). Very impressed so far, it's gorgeous and plays very well.

I have of course bought myself a Defender and will be using that quite a lot, although I found out that upgrading the engine to the 6.2 V8 is useless for cross-country racing because it's gutless at the bottom end.
