How do I rip part of the audio off a video?

Watching an episode of CSI:NY and there's a great song in it. I wanna rip it so that I can ask zenon and the likes what it is. Suggestions?

totalrecorder works well for me (so well in fact, that I paid for it). I believe they have a free trial that will work for like 5 minutes before adding a layer of static over the MP3.

Yeah, just mark the thing you want and then go for "save .wav"... Maybe there is an option to save it directly as .mp3... dunno

yeah, vdub should be ok. i myself use adobe premiere as a video editor, and you can also do it with it. i think pretty much all video editing software can export for you the audio or part of it
