How do you play a downloaded top gear file?

Hi the subject speaks for its self really, how do you play a file when you have downloaded it? I have downloaded a topgear one

Are you sure?
For the last Top Gear you'll need the XviD codec, for previous rips you'll need the DviX codec.
Once oyu have those codecs installed you can play it Windows Media Player.

No, the last rip was encoded w/XviD, you'll need to install that, then you can play it on WMP.

For the Mac people, QuickTime 6 will also play the new xvid files without any additional codecs--'cause the xvid files appear to be standard MPEG-4 movie files with MPEG-3 audio. Kickass....now it's even easier to burn DVDs.

I tried getting the codec earlier, but it still wouldn't work in Windows media player - got VLC media player and it works though, so I'm happy
