How far will the stock market drop for the day?

This game may offend some people, so in that case, it may be closed...

But anyway, the name of the game says it all

How far will the Dow Jones fall on a given day? The one closest to the actual amount wins. And submissions must be made by 2 hours before the market closes (5 PM EST). I dont know anything about foreign markets, so for now, its Dow for now.

What a shocker, the repercussions about not passing an auto industry bailout are exaggerated.

The Dow is down 21 points.
 
Wow, the market didn't give one iota of a little shit about the bailout failure. Even the Dow Industrials are up, but then again GM's stock, for one, could hardly go any lower.
 
I'm impressed. I guess we have to wait till monday to see what happens now. It dipped in the morning, but then massive recovery.

In Asia, we're not as much hit as in the US, and when my country has its own currency and less-dependent economy, the hit is so much softened. In fact, my family isn't cutting back a single cent on anything than before.

Anyway, I'll suspect Dow to go down to its lowest point somewhere in Feb-March of '09.
