How fast have you ever gone?

200Km/h in my brother?s Fiat Tipo Sedicivalvole. (R.I.P.).
In my own car (Fiat Tipo 1.6) 180Km/h, and in my deceased Suzuki GSX 750F I went 230Km/h.

I?m lazy and I don?t wanna read all 14 pages: who claimed the fastest speed? :)

i het 122 mph yesterday. it was weird bc my car had more to go but the speedometer only goes up to 120 and my car is basically stock.

Verdict is American cars suck. With 145 hp you'd think I could hit 200 km/h. But the gearing is so low that it is only good for acceleration which means I'll never hit 200 :(

240km/h in a povo-pack base model Ford BA Falcon XT with 240kw (150mph and ~320hp for the people using the inferior system :p)

240km/h in my A6 2.5 TDI,
230 in my mother's Civic VTi and
252 in my father's S2000.

I just did 170km/h today, still in my borrowed honda civic :D

250 km/h - S70 T5 my father's old car
235 km/h - S60 D5 my father's actual car
250km/h veryyyyyyyyyyy limited in my friend C30 AMG

140 MPH in a 550 Maranello in 5th at 6000RPM, had lots more to go, but car pulled out ino fast lane infront of us and we had to brake (on Interstate 5 in Central California). Also, my friend drove his SUV 120 on a two lane country road.

115 mph in a 1971 Olds Cutlass Supreme 2dr with a rocket 350 4 bbl.
The floor on the pass side had a hole that was covered with plywood.
Got the car for $250 and it lasted 3 years before the driver's side front wheel fell off while going 55mph. Everything on the underside got bent backwards...Including the 1 1/4 inch anti-sway bars.
Ahhhh... The memories..... :)

My parents live in northern California, and I'm going to school in Montana, so I made plenty of trips back and forth. I always time it so I go through Nevada in the dead of night so I can wind it up and save a few hours. I've yet to do it since I removed my Firebird's 115mph speed limiter.

Montana's no speed limit law was repealed several years ago, right before I got my drivers license. :( However, I drive like a bat out of hell everywhere I go, and the only time I've had a run-in with the police was simply because I'm a 20 year old boy with long hair driving a red Firebird with California plates. :)

Well, I've been at the following speeds:

1979 VB SL/E 253ci V8 Commodore - 200km/h (124mph)
1995 Kawasaki GPZ 600 Bike - 180km/h (112mph)
1994 VR II BT1 3.8 Litre V6 Executive Commodore - 200km/h (124mph)
1999 VT II 'S' 3.8 Litre V6 Commodore - 200km/h (124mph)
1999 VT Comodore bodied 350ci V8 NASCAR - 180km/h (112mph) - Limited to 3500rpm!!
2001 VX II 'SS' 5.7 Litre LS1 V8 Commodore - 210km/h (130mph)
2004 VY II 'SS' 5.7 Litre LS1 V8 Commodore - 220km/h (137mph)

** Note: These are not the top speeds of the vehicles, just what I have driven them at when conditions allow.

The current 2004 VY II 'SS' should be able to hit 260km/h (161mph) with the right bit of road. It is not the top speed though, it is how quick you get there....and I can get to 200km/h quite quickly :)

As you may/may not know in my state (Victoria)- we'll get fined for 3km/h over the limit and 15km/h over is loss of license!!

That is one thing I noticed all over Australia... They got spped cameras everywhere... And on some roads there are 3 in like 1,5 km and the same thing 10 km later...
brr...

Buckin' the trend! 8)

Fastest I've driven is 250 km/h in the VW Phaeton V10 TDI.

 I had an A4, and the A6 was a deal just too good to miss. That's why I drive such a big car. My father regularly drives a Toyota Avensis D4-D, and the S2000 is parked at home. Whenever I want to drive it, I take it. But I prefer to play with the Civic. It gives you more time to think (as Damon Hill said), specially when you're not used to RWD. The last phonecall I'd want to do was if something happened to the car.

Great car to drive at that speed. I once was passenger in a Audi A8 4.0 TDI at 260km/h The only thing you notice is that the road passes faster. You don't feel a thing. 8)
