So I remember taking this geography class at college and I was so proud that I could remember all the countries in any particular continent. I did really well.

However, some time after I started losing my memory, and so I've been doing these sporcle quizzes to sort of refresh myself.

So let's get everyone else involved. How good are you at the geography of any particular area, or even... THE WORLD :jezza:.

Here's a "Name all the countries in Asia": http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/asia
Ewwwwww-rope: http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/europe
Sud-America: http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/southamerica
Africa mon: http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/africa
North America (so basically, just the United States since we're the only country that matters): http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/northamerica
Oceania: http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/oceania
Antarctica :p: http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/antarctica

The entire world: http://www.sporcle.com/games/g/world

Post your results!

I got 44/48 for asia. Have to try the others in a sec.

Can't believe I gave up before guessing Lebanon and Israel. The others missed were Armenia and Bahrain. Damnit.

I put in "Yugoslavia" before thinking about it. Way to flag my age. Managed to get 143 out of 196 in the world; the Caribbean, western Africa, and Pacific islands were my major weaknesses. My embarrassing omissions include Jordan, Kuwait, Namibia, Bosnia, and Rwanda; I almost forgot Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland until the last few seconds. I wish they had a feature where countries would get shaded in as you got them so you could see your gaps more accurately.

While this is important to know, I don't feel the need to memorize the whole world. I have a globe and other resources to fill in my gaps in memory and give a different perspective.

If I don't know the history of the region I am at a loss.

47/47 for Europe. Had to check the correct spelling for Liechtenstein, though.

I used to play these quite a bit...

48/48 for Asia.
47/47 for Europe.
12/12 for South America
53/54 for Africa, fucking Gabon
23/23 for North America
14/14 for Oceania

194/196 for the world, missed Cambodia and the UAE, but that one is annoying just because you can't see what's going on.

Spelling all the names is a problem for me. I knew most of the Central Asian nations but not how to spell them correctly.

45/48 for Asia
47/47 for Europe
12/12 for S. America
50/54 for Africa
20/23 for N. America
12/14 for Oceania
?% for Antarctica (or 7/7)

Meh... not as good as Victor :p

I can tie shoelaces :D

Some people make other people think that they are slightly bonkers. ... Still well done you lot.

N.America = Canada, er that's all I can think of unless you count Mexico which may be considered central America, um I am sure that there is another country but the name illudes me. Bongo bongo land perhaps?

47/47 for Europe. Had to check the correct spelling for Liechtenstein, though.
The Spelling in english was my mayor weak point in europe. 20 trys till I had Luxembourg right ... 10 for the "UK" because the damn thing wouldn?t accept "united kingdom" I tried the States of the UK (Wales etc) without luck - I skipped that, but then when I wanted to enter UKRAINE he suddenly gave me "UK" as an correct answer ... the baltic states were also a mess with getting the names right in English ... . Ran out of time when I had 37/47 in Europe.

Yeah, I'm not gonna post the scores for the 2 i just did

140/196 World,
21/23 North America,
41/48 Asia,
45/47 Europe,
10/12 South America,
36/54 Africa,
8/14 Oceania,
1/1 for Antartica!

Me too, sort of. Need the spongebob song to do it though.

Okay so Europe: 41/47. I missed Serbia and Montenegro, Kosovo, San Marino, Andorra, and Malta.
North America: 15/23. Christ. Missed: El Salvador, Jamaica (WTF), Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Saint Lucia, and Antigua and Barbuda. Fail.
Redid Asia: 46/48. Missed Timor-Leste and Armenia.
South America: 10/12. Missed Guyana because of spelling, and suriname.
Not gonna say what I got for oceania
Not gonna say what I got for Africa

I fail.

I hate this topic :|

Asia... 48/48
Europe... 47/47
Africa... 54/54
North America... 23/23
South America... 12/12
Oceania... 14/14
The world... 170/196... the map was too small. I forgot probably 10 that are easy and the rest because I needed more time. Spelling was also difficult because I know most countries in French.
