I didn't see a thread like this when I did a search, so...

How much does gas cost where you live?

Here in Daytona Beach it's up to USD $2.31 per gallon of 87 gasoline. (that's about $ 0.61 a litre for you lazy people out there).

London, Ontario, Canada is about $2.44 a gallon or 83.6 cents per litre (Canadian currency)

Currently are $2.09/gallon for regular (87 octane), fluctuating every 10-12 hours, I think Texas has one of the lowest averages in the nation atm. :) Didn't feel like converting it :p

is malaysia its 37.4cents USD per liter or $1.41 USD per gallon, so i guess we're pretty cheap here, these are for 92 octane btw

We are currently maintaining $1.15/litre in Sydney. It is a long weekend here in Aus and i'm seeing prices like $1.20/litre already. Shades of our Easter long weekend...
EDIT: Thats 89cents USD ;)

I filled up for $2.45 a gallon the other day and that's with 93.

Our prices (so you guys in US wont feel so bad about your prices :)):

for 95 octane (don't know what type does it equal in US, but it's the "regular" one) it's 1.14 ~ 1.22 euro/liter (5.60 ~ 6.02 $/gallon)
for 98 octane 1.17 ~ 1.24 euro/liter (5,79 ~ 6,13 $/gallon)
for diesel 0.92 ~ 0.99 euro/liter (4,54 ~ 4,88 $/gallon)

Long weekends, time for Double Demerit and High Fuel Price. Wonder why people still travel around on long weekends.

Anyway. Yea, that's 91ron fuel.
98ron fuel and you would add another 10c to it.

And then there's the recent Supermarket docket price reduction of 4c/Litre. Hmm ...

Complicated

You and the rest of the world probably have your octanes starting at 92, that's our highest, "Premium", I believe. Lucky. And most people don't understand why most European vehicles take Premium fuel here, altough Porsche says that their cars can run on 82 octane fuel, because they want you to be able to enjoy the driving experience everywhere :D. Like in the boonies where you only have one kind

the highest we have is 98 Octane, I think we have 3 types in malaysia, 92, 95 and 98... but Subaru's need more than 92octane?... so ESPNSTI, how do you fill up?

I think the US standard is generally 87, 89, and 92. I think sometime you'll see higher, but I've never seen anything lower than 87.

are octanes calculated in the US differently, because in asian countries, I have never seen anything below 90

Okay, here's what I got:

One site said that Octane rating was a measurment of the percentage of what was Octane and what was heptane (87 would be 87% Octane, 13% Heptane).

Two other sites (including a federal trade commison article) said that it is the fuel's ability to resist knocking. Isooctane is given 100, Heptane is 0, and the gasoline is measured based on its ability to resist knocking (87 would have the same properties as a mixture of 87% Octane and 13% Heptane).

So it has something to do with the ability of the gasoline to resist spontaneous combustion from isothermal compression.

Ours varies ALOT from day to day...

Yesterday I paid $1.28 AUD per litre for 98 octane

Generally standard unleaded is around $1-$1.15

95% octane goes for around $1.10-$1.20

98% goes from $1.15-$1.30

My car gets 350km out of 55L :(
