Check out this tutorial:

Thanks to Cruzz563 for the link.
as far as i can see thats nothing but an ordinary port-forwarding procedure explained.
Am I missing something? That's all it was meant to be...
ah, i thought someone discovered a mysterious new way....
btw, a very handy site for router specific guides is http://www.portforward.com/

Well put the port on the left that you client uses, 6969 probably. Then I'd guess your local-ip:6969 in the middle box and then check the enable box.
i refer to http://www.portforward.com/ again.
the default port for a bittorrent client is 6881 btw, not 6969 (thats the tracker's port).

for ABC the ports are over a range do i put that range into the port forward?
depends on the router...
for some clients you only need to forward one port total, for other clients you need to forward a port for every torrent youre downloading simultaneously.
so if you forward 5 ports you can download 5 torrents at the same time max, which would only need 5 port-forwarding rules.

hey guys i m having trouble with this port forwarding stuff. When I run the configuration test in Azureus, I receive the following error :
NAT Error

Thanks mate, I managed to resove the NAT error and have opened the ports. That site is excellent. Now can someone please tell be the best settings that I should use in Azureus.
