I just found this site and I am compleatly new to bittorrent.

Just need some advice.

I just downloaded azureus and got it working just fine.

I been using edonkey for sometime and aint used to this version atall.

Can I search for files like on the donkey or do I have to find a website that have that file so i can download it from?

Also I now download Topgear where they test the F60 Enzo.
When it's finished downloading it, is there something i have to do to make it work, or can I just open it up in the winamp or windows media player and play it?

What's so damn about us?

Also do someone got links to other sites where they got other kind of movies?
Like F1 races and such.

BitTorrent does not have a file search.
Once you have downloaded a file, it's just that: a file like any other.
So yes, you should be able to just play the file (not the .torrent though, that is the file that is opened by Azureus to download the actual file).

Welcome! :)

once it's done downloading you just open the file.

For the BT questions I'm clueless about this program, sorry.

Well thanks for the replys.

Oh and normally when someone tries to be funny they put a smilie at the end of the post.

Yet another Finn to grace this company, welcome!

And if you're fine with swedish may I recommend thepiratebay.org they have pretty much everything a leecher might want + no registration necessary...

Welcome!

Finland svensk s? jag ?r very fine with sweedish.

BTW I noticed that when I have on the Azureus my internet speed is VERY slow.

is this normal or can I avoid it by doing something clever?

I got 2G speed normally when I turn it of and when it's on it's like a 56kmodem.

BTW where does the movies go.

I have seen them but I have to open them true the azureus.

When I press on a file to download then a window pops up with 3 buttons on it.

First open then save and 3rd I guess quit or somethign.

Should I push save?

I have always pushed open.

If it is the torrent file, you clicking on open should be fine.
Alternatively, you can click on save, then locate the file and double click on it, but I don't see a point in doing that.

But when I do that I lose the video.

I can only see it if I opens it via azureus were others downloads it from.

Also one thing.

When I open azureus the pc is very slow and loads somethign all the time but never gets it done.

When I close azureus I have no problems what so ever.

Yes, Azureus is kinda resource heavy. On fast computers with lots of RAM like mine, you don't notice, but if you're lacking in RAM or processor power, then it'll definetly make a dent.

It's benificial to have a seperate machine just for downloads anyway  .
