I'm assuming all of us are car freaks, motorheads, whatever, so most likely you're all have sort of aggressive driving styles. But a lot of you are also human and drive considerately. Take the poll and tell me how you drive. I'm occasionally aggressive. I just don't see the need to brake and accelerate suddenly; it just makes my foot tired.

Occasionally Aggressive - I'm really easy going in traffic and around town, but I'm really aggressive on back roads away from other motorists.

usually depends what kind of mood i'm in ... if i'm having a pissy day i usually like banging the shit out of my z (which means usually a lot of full throttle accelerations with numerous lane changes and powerslides around corners) but if i'm just cruisin' it's usually very tame and if anything, way safer than some of the crap drivers here in toronto

Unlike many Americans, I have driven in Japan and Europe. Often it was in city centers were traffic is heavy, space is limited, and the opportunity to go where you like is very limited.

I tend to drive the same on the wide open roads of the States. I drive very efficiently, but also very quickly. I take turns fast. I plan my route carefully to minimize driving distance. You can say I make full use of the law's limits. I am not like the other American drivers who take it easy as if they're lounging on a couch. I always have my full attention to the act of driving. Therefore, I'm fast and safe at the same time.

To others, this driving style seems very aggressive and fast. However, I've heard many of my friends say that I am the best driver they know. Even though I'm fast, I haven't been in a single accident (on public roads) during my 7 years of driving. [knock, knock!] I think it helps to be a motorcyclist. It makes you more aware as a driver.

When it's safe, I treat the street like my private road circuit. Powerslides at 60mph? Those are common on wide open roads with no traffic.

Occasionally aggressive. When I'm alone in the car and listening a good song, I like to drive aggressively. But when there's somebody with me (especially my mum) I drive very carefully. :D

EDIT I may occasionally drive aggressively, but I never exceed the speed limit by more than 10 km/h...

What I hate to see is people driving on the highway at 50-60kmh as if life is so god damn long and the end of the world isn't tomorrow. It really puzzles me why they have no god damn urgency. I'll literally scream and swear in my car like some fucking mad man, they really piss me off. Thank god I don't succumb to road rage.

Yea, that's sooooo annoying...
I hate most those people who drive 50km/h in 60km/h zone, and when the speed limit changes from 60 to 40, they still drive 50!!! They just don't care what's going on, those fuckers! :censored:

None of the above. I drive pretty passively and focusing on a smoothness and predicting corners/traffic, I guess... Though years of Gran Turismo has got me looking for the ideal 'lines' even on city roads  Though I may snap from time to time, I'd hardly consider myself aggressive. In fact, I pretty much hate aggressive drivers

I'm used to driving veterans with minimal insurance and hard-to-find replacement body panels though ;) You can't really be careless with those.

I use a lot of fuel... All the time... That doens't mean I'm an insane driver, but I can't
help trying to get all I can out of the lame 140hp of my mum's PT Cruiser so the fuelage
is pretty bad. When I get to the countryroads with nice curves and so on I don't see
the point of obeying speed limits 8)

i dont have a car, and im a student abroad living alone so i drive like a few times a year. but on my bicycle its constantly agressive (unless going uphill  )

I drive a brand new Vauxhall Vectra, with an appaulingly measly 100bhp so I tend to floor it all the time. Car goes like a dead turtle.

Occasionally Aggressive, I like to accelerate, but I don't drive fast, I take turns too fast and stuff but only when it's safe to do so.. I'm not prone to road rage either.

I drive occasionally agressive around town
when I'am in town or small village, I just follow speed limit and I'm always
very careful.

but outside: :driving: , especially in roundabouts ( understeer, oversteer )
I drive fast, sometimes too fast ( racing with other drivers  )
but when there are not too much cars ( and trucks ) on the road of course !

My girlfriend is used to that driving style, but she calms me down when I'm too
fast. If she wasn't there, I would have had some crashes

and yes, you can say it: I'm a bit crazy. 8)

That about sums me up, you can tell how aggressive I'm driving by how much I'm left foot braking. Makes driving a FWD so much more fun.

I picked "Constantly Aggressive" (even though "aggressive" is way too loaded of a word to describe my driving).
I'd say sensibly quick more describes my driving.

Here in Caracas, you MUST have to drive arresivily.... We have traffic laws but everybody forgets them.. To go to my work from home, i have to go in one of the busiest avenues. That implies cars, bus, peasants, etc. To make a good time, i have to switch channels between 5 or 6 times in a less of 2-3 minutes... The people here is very agressive. They stuck the noses of the cars, don't use the taillights to cross between channels.... It's like driving all day in a racing circuit

Also i grew in a family where speed is the name of the game... My graand dad was a terrific racer, My dad y a good racer and i developed the need for speed with the ages. Now i'm running in a Kart championship for amateurs.

So... I'm a 100% agressive driver

Aggressive all the time when driving to work or uni.
Trying to find the best place in traffic flow for that long sweeper offramp I can take at 70 km/h but which most people do at 30 or 40 (much to my annoyance). Sometimes that means a burst velocity of 170-200 km/h in order to overtake the slow lorry or bus (or a horsebox, as seen today!) before the ramp.
Even though my car's just barely faster than average, I'm overtaking just about everybody just by driving "actively" and using full throttle to accelerate out of corners and using near-maximum cornering speeds (the Konis and Potenzas probably give an edge).
I'm not competitive, in the occasion of someone going faster than me I'll do my best to let them overtake.

On long hauls I maintain a steady 20 km/h over the limit, overtaking as necessary. At night I usually fall into a march pace of 40 over limit.

I've never been fined for speeding (stopped once, but they had no proof) nor I've ever caused an accident (an old lady ran into the side of my car with her bike when I had the right of way).
