HSV has announced the release of another 'SV' model. Very rarley are these models brought out.
This new SV6000 will have the same 6.0L V8 seen in the C6 Corvette and will propel the car to 100km/h in just 5.1secs!
297KW @ 6000RPM
530NM @ 4500RPM

This model will be limited to only 50 initially and some of the one off features will include:
"Devil Yellow" paintwork
Xenon lights
"Yellow Spirit" 19" wheels with yellow brake callipers
Yellow stitching on the Anthracite HSV Performance seats
Yellow coloured accent in the engine bay
Model identification on the on board computer (dash)

DDI (Driver Dynamic interface) will allow the driver to record up to four of the cars parameters and view them at a later occurance. It has Sat Nav inbuilt with 3D maps. It can be unplugged and used as a everyday PDA system complete with XP operating system and MSWORD.

The SV6000 blends luxury and performance perfectly in addition to a few unique features and displays terrific value for money at just $80,000AUD or 32,000UK or 63,000US.
Such a shame only us Aussies are gonna get it and on 50 will be made :(
Should be released in July!

That thing is ugly
Fair enough....if thats what you think  but you would be foolish to turn it down if you got on that lucky list of 50. Especially at that dirt cheap price!- You would'nt be buying it, you'd be stealing it!
there was an older sv called the sv99 i think.
Yeah SV99, that was the last model, presumably 1999. I think I recall it having a wicked orangey interior. I was gonna put the SV99 on the cool wall before I knew of this new model coming out..but the SV's are limited editions so it wouldnt be allowed there.

wow...it be a sleeper to those who dunno of the make in other countries...tat thing is off the scale IMO

Hmm, I find the idea that some Dell PDA would be my interface with much of that car really quite disturbing.

(And I really doubt it is running XP).

I try to like HSV's designs, but they still don't appeal to me. They always use such odd noses that make me want the Holden version instead.

Are cars typically more expensive in Australia? Because USD$63k sounds really pricy.

that looks realy good!

i think holden is like the perfect balance in between japanese and american cars (without being very luxerious like the european cars). i digg all their models

It would be running Windows Mobile. It's a pretty impressive pocket OS, but it only looks like Windows XP.

Here are pics of some of its functions. I think its cool however i'd prefer get it inbuilt in the sat nav screen and have some sort of memory card you can plug into your PC at home. Its a bit distracting for driver i think. Nevertheless its a bargin!

looks good... but I still prefer the Commodore HSV better
Ah theres no such thing...are you refering to the Commodore SS perhaps? Or maybe the HSV GTS?
On another note, this is a hot car but its such a shame that only 50 are being made! 50 seems a little to rare for my likeing and it would be almost impossible to purchase one.

Not the old one?

I think the PDA is a bit of a gimmick that will go stale fast in a few years. It reminds me of an old HDT Commodore that came out in 1987 with a fax machine.

when what how?? :p

i havent heard that before.

If the had all the functions of the PDA in a dash mounted information screen (as in R34 GTR) that would be a better idea I think.

No difference really between an R8 and the SV6000 apart from a few cosmetic things.
