last night a friend turned onto my driveway with a new BMW 320i.
his father's 5 was in for maintainance, and he got it as temp replacement (didn't have 2000km yet)

i like it :p the front looks great from first view, but when you look at it for a while, you start seeing things you don't like (but i guess that's with all cars), the back is not bad, but it reminds me of nissan. the interiour is functional, but i hated the way the seat had to be adjusted, didn't understand the system at all.

i was a little dissapointed in the engine. i taught a 2l would give some burst when flooring, but it doesn't do shit below 4K RPM, it's realy lazy, so it also takes ages before it ever gets so high. and when you pull to the end, and change gear, the engine drops way back and you fly to the front when the clutch grips, you should be double clutching to have a smooth (fast) ride.

it does grip like hell, we tried to do some sliding/donuts but it wouldn't move a bit (or at least, on tarmac it wouldn't  ), and when you drop de clutch a 4K RPM, it spins the tires for like a second (no idea what tires it had)

i realy was expecting way more power, but it could've been due to the weight, caus i don't think it's a light car.

overall: it's a BMW, can't go wrong :D

I like your review. You should start a magazine that reviews cars from a teenage perspective.

"The new CLS is slow as shit but it rocks at picking up chicks"

I sat in the new 3-series and I thought the interior was beautiful, the seats were incredibly comfotable, and evertyhing seemed well laid out to me. I alos think it looks great from the exterior, except I don't really like the wheels on either the 330i or the 325i.

Sounds quite good overall though I still don't think Jeremy will fall for its slightly better Bimmer looks...It seems as though everyone is quite relieved that it doesnt look like a 5'er :yucky: so they wave in the thumbs up  >>

I'm not surprised, the 5'er had hugely responsive steering and was a real "drivers-car". Could you tell if this was equipped with BMW's Active Steering?

i don't think it had, it was pretty basic, didn't even have electric seats. i think before it became replacement-car, it was a car used to give potential buyers a ride

what i also didn't like, was the feel of the pedals, it's to obvious electronics control throttle and clutch, there's no resistance at all, let your foot go, and it goes to the metal. i prefer you have to push a bit.

Good one...
A friend of mine has picked up his 325i today and made arrangements to get a 330i (luckily they have one) next friday...
We had the old 330i as well, and it kicked ass...

If everything turns out well, I'll have some pics...
