Tell that to entire factories built with Ladder Logic PLC programming. This came out in the 1960s. Eat a dick.View attachment 3565846

Aka "I'm worried I might fall in love with my car, and it scares me." Or, "I gave my car female pronouns, and I'm afraid it won't fall in love with me when it becomes sentient after I wish upon the star I bought from that Star Registry, because it'll be lesbodesian."

My favorite is the old people in my life, *cough* my mom *cough* , I ain't going to learn how to drive again. I am not going to plug it in and watch it. There are other excuses too, but it all gives me a headache.
My dad used to refer to hate BEVs and write them off as wheeled flashlights or toys etc. Until we (my brother and I) dragged him kicking and screaming into the driver's seat of a Tesla Model S back in 2013. He ordered one the same day after the test drive, and hasn't looked back since.
"And where do libtards believe electricity comes from? Coal and natural gas, duh! You have petroleum to thank for everything you have. EVERYTHING!"
^^ I like to troll those (Norwegians with a "school of life" education) who ask that question by just posting a picture like this as a response:

That either shuts them up, or sends them off on a tirade of whatabautism, where they usually start talking about wind power, which they hate intensely and with a passion.

I love when the anti-EV crowd bring up mining all those things needed for an EV, yet they look right past the facts that mining is needed for all cars. They will deny any rare earth minerals get used in an ICE vehicle, but they do have computer chips and alloys. Nevermind pointing out that to remove lead from fuels, cobalt is used and can't be recycled once that happens.
Note there was that one guy who did say gas or electric car owners are doomed to die in a post-apocalyptic hellscape that apparently he believes is inevitable.

Electric cars are death traps DEATH TRAPS!
"ongoing maintenance" because that's so much more with EVs
These are the same people who are terrified of nuclear power. They don’t understand it’s just boiling water like a tea kettle.

Or better still; how many of them who suddenly has sympathy for children subjected to child labour has they have heard that cobalt mines in the Kongo are bad. While at the same time not realizing how BEV-manufacturers have become transparent about their value chains and giving out guarantees for how their materials come from suppliers following strict ethical rules.I have to admit it's fun when owners of coal-rolling diesels from the stone age suddenly become environmentally conscious just because it's about mining minerals for EVs.
Sometimes all of the themQuick question on that: how many batteries, do you think, a) need to be repaired (in what kind of time frame) and b) actually do get repaired instead of recycled or re-used (with potentially lowered capacity)?
To me, this is simply not a relevant issue at all...
