I just did the dumbest thing the world

I accidently hidden all my icons :oops: and I have no idea how to get them back, basically most of the folders, all my desktop icons have been hidden!!!... anyone know how to unhide them?
 
How the hell did you hide them in the first place?? What proggy were you using? Are you willing to giv Sys restore a go...
btw the dumbest thing in the world would be deleteing all ur top gear vids! :p
 
no... I was in a folder... I was looking for application data in my documents and settings, then I checked hide box and clicked ok... I didn't realize it was hiding my icons till half of them are gone, its not just my desktop, its everything on every folder
 
Open Explorer (My Computer, Documents) > Tools > Folder Options > View > Scroll down the list of options, there should be one for "Show hidden files and folders".

Atleast I think that's the issue.
 
I managed to fix it, I just made the viewer show hidden files and I undid what I did before, somehow I managed to hide 464 folders at once :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
I have view hidden files on by default. :)
 
i do system recovery all the time, i rather do a system recovery than uninstall a new software that sucks
and i do it for sure when i find out a program has some spyware in it

never had problems with it
