i did that once on a 50cc bike, wasn't THAT loud, had fire comming out tho :p

is that safe?

not if you stand in range of the fire :D

bit i don't think it would harm the engine, as long as there is not a lot of dust in the air it uses

Yeah, no airfilter can mean that some particles can end up in the combustionchamber, the exhaust fumes can easily be sucked in the cilinders as well, which results in less efficiency...but I don't think this was an economic engine

Well I'll take an educated guess that it's a millitary based engine due to the colour.

I know all Britishy army engines are painted that strange light blue colour, knowing NATO standardisation it's probably the same for most other countries.

Looks a bit small to be a tank engine, it's got no exhaust can't tell if it's supposed to be turbocharged as well, I think my guess would a large truck of some kind.
though I'm probably wrong :D

That is a Rolls Royce Merlin plane engine.

If i remember correctly it developes around 1500hp

Ehhh they mounted that on a buggy!??!? At the end shot you'll see it....I don't think ANYTHING can handle 1500bhp....

loved it ... seen it before but never read the story behind it !

THX!
