Mods, can we install a filter on this site so that when someone types "The STIG is" the filter will catch it and change it to "I'm a dolt".

I'm afraid you have just made a big mistake, bumping this topic - and also commenting on a repost :p
Some people think it's Lewis Hamilton (LMAO) whilst others think it's Alonso (LMAO x2).
I do believe it's Ben, but i'm sure people will have other opinions

It's not, Its Jesus...he came back, as The Stig

The Stig is most often conceived of as the creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of The Stig. The most common among these include omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, omnibenevolence (perfect goodness), divine simplicity, jealousy, and eternal and necessary existence. The Stig has also been conceived as being incorporeal, a personal being, the source of all moral obligation, and the "greatest conceivable existent". These attributes were all supported to varying degrees by the early Jewish, Christian and Muslim theologian philosophers, including Augustine of Hippo, Al-Ghazali, and Maimonides. Many notable medieval philosophers developed arguments for the existence of The Stig, attempting to wrestle with the apparent contradictions implied by many of these attributes.

After reading through 24 pages of this thread, I've decided to believe that The Stig are/is different people. I think that most of the time it is the same person, and that incase that 'that' certain person cannot show up, they will use a driver of similar experience or maybe similar physical attributes so atleast they will look similar on the camera. Since TG never (or to my knowledge atleast) shows a full, un-uncut version of a "power lap" around the track, maybe they might cut a slight bit of the time off to make near equivalent times of the 'normal' Stig. What if somebody could properly time a lap which is only slightly cut off or something, but I dunno, just my 2 cents.

I doubt they do that, because it appears as though the Stiglet's body type changes quite often (probably just because he gets bored of looking the same all the time, just something to mix it up). He's usually the sort of average build (which is quite similar to a dark haired racing driver whose name starts with a B and who repeatedly appears as himself in the show...), but sometimes he grows bigger and whatnot.

I think I saw the Stig and Sen. Larry Craig go into the mens room together, while I was waiting in the airport!

Some say that he has a wide stance...
