Someone sent that to our Telegram group and said it was a Taurus, then made fun of me for saying it isn't. He even posted a photo of the Taurus he thought it was (same generation as @Kiki 's) and you can clearly see the boot shape, tail lights, and center light location are all wrong.

TIL a VW Jetta is a last-generation Taurus.

I wonder what he had that they wanted, they obviously didn't want the car and the driver looks fine. The boot is open so he was carrying something, maybe he isn't so innocent.

If this was the US they would be taking his bags of petrol. :|

Low water crossings (as they are called here) are fairly common on dirt roads in rural hilly areas. I've crossed many of them over the years in trucks, but the trick is to slow down. These folks are going a bit too fast.

Edit: Was pretty easy to find the spot too: https://goo.gl/maps/zFmFK5iU7P4SPDP37

It incredible because it's not like a flooded road - that water is always there. Of course the level is going to change but that's why there's a big marker board there. Some people hit that with some real force too.

It's just a bit far from me to comfortably make the drive in the bobtail just to splash through a couple of times, soak the kids and then laugh at others. It does sound like a good use of an afternoon, though.

Edit: Oh there's a red E60, I actually feel sorry for the car.

Not that I want to put a dampen on the entertainment brought by this place, but why didn't they just, you know, make a raised bridge for cars to go by? I mean, they made a pedestrian one.

Often the amount of traffic at one of these low water crossings doesn't rise to the level of it being financially feasible.

There are dry crossings in both directions within one kilometer of the ford.

Yeah, when I had a look at the map some while ago (these videos have been making the rounds...), I noticed that it's a small road presumably mostly used by locals and that the detour to avoid that ford altogether is really not that long.

This makes me question the sanity of these people.

Also, I had to watch that video posted above in full screen to be sure it wasn't the same blue BMW thrice at the beginning...

Well, you simply have to do it now. :D
It's very tempting, it's just around the corner from Sherwood Forest, where I used to go to and watch people throw old Escorts and such around. Not sure I trust the bobtail on long drives though as I've never actually done any. :p
