If I hear "Hey that's not bad!" one more time...

(on that trend-shell)

Richard Hammond has done it again... he really fades into the background a lot when sharing the screen with Jeremy. This especially after Jeremy does a test, where he just latches onto his jokes and tries to continue them (CLS55, among other segments) and then just does the same after the power lap ("Hey that's not bad!"). Maybe that's why he has to compensate with those crude insults. Still, it does feel like there's 2.5 presenters on sometimes. Some say it's because of his height, and that it's okay because he's younger. All we know is that he's in his 30s, and "youth" is hardly the right label for him (apologies to others of his age). Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy this show a lot. I just wish Richard would strike a better medium between blending into the background and going hysterical.

I dunno, I guess that's just him.. Sometimes we can go almost a whole episode without hearing a word from James for example... It's just that Jeremy is the host, the others are co-hosts.. that's how I see it. Not that I think the others aren't as good (heck, I think James and Richard both are great), but it's just that it's obvious who the big boss is.

Stop making these threads...people say words, and sometimes they say words more often...leave it, enjoy the show, the hosts and the cars and stop being so pedantic about choice of words..

If the Girls at Hammond Heaven read that, they gonna find out where you live and then slowly and painfully kill you!!!

My thoughts exactly. People tend to hang onto every single word the presenters say, like they're on trial or something  Relax, and just enjoy the show.

Yep.

Shut up, stop whinging, watch the show, enjoy it, or fuck off.

Perhaps a bit harsh :p

Wow, judging by the responses here, I think the whole "If I hear..." thing has officially jumped the shark. I wish some of the people would note my disclaimer within my first post, which said

I still enjoy this show a lot

If anything, this thread might as well serve as a warning to anyone else thinking of starting a "If I hear..." thread: don't do it, lest the other board members go  on your arse.

Ok, so you don't mind about the "some say..." thing, but you DO mind about "It's not that bad"... :?

These kind of threads are just getting PATHETIC.

In good mood, Get a life!

Let's see... there's also "epic" and "this is it". Let me just get those out of the way. I like them. "Rubbish"? Too much of a stretch, that's just a common British expression... is anyone going to complain about "welcome to"...?

OK, in response to all... this thread was an attempt at a jab at the whole "If I hear" thread thing. Apparently I did a poor job of tongue-in-cheek in the first post. I feel I should apologize for starting a spam thread, but wow is this one helluva sore nerve. Mods, feel free to lock if need be.

lol, don't take it personally. We're always looking for some new topic to rip apart

whew, that's a relief, that one person isn't about to string me up. it's just hard to gauge the explosiveness of threads, is all.

naw, you'd have to do a lot worse than that to get strung up around here :) Just be thankful you didn't come in here boasting about your Dad's car, then you'd really be quite frustrated right about now

No need to apologize, just stick around and I think you'll come to like it here. Just remember not to take anything too personally, or seriously for that matter (if you know what I mean)

Lol it's not personal, I always talk to 3000 people at once (makes it less difficult to swear  ) So you should also read it as one of 3000, but still always:

Obbey to Josty's powerzz, because I'm the big boss around here.
