Im sorry, f1 has lost something... (tl;dr: Its baseless confidence)

The engine freeze doesn't help with the loss of a competitive spirit.
 
I hate the engine freeze. Can someone please unfreeze them and put some extra allowances in there, like turbo, rotary valves and stuff like that... I mean, we need cutting edge, not this. The engines are basically the same for the last 4 seasons.
 
i want, for just one year.... a massive relaxation of the rules.

perhaps just limit the budget and then give them free reign.... id love to see what would come of that

To an extent, that is what the FIA were proposing, but the teams just threw it back in their face.
 
just limit the amount of fuel they can use per race, and let them loose...

that's what i propose



but nobody at FIA seems to be listening :(

It is the old cost issue again though. We at least need to wait until we are well out of the recession, and the manufacturers start coming back, before proposing something like that.

I had this idea long ago... thought it was a great idea too. Oh well.
