I like wide tires and flared arches, but the rear of that car is just too much.

Because the noise it makes is freaking AWESOME!!!!!

I don't understand the point, tbh. There are plenty of Supras out there making close to 1000whp with the good ol' iron-cast 6-cyl, so why swap in a V8, which is probably a good deal heavier?
When I saw the first picture on the engine bay, I had a similar thought. Then it sunk in, and I remembered my sig ... "Fuck weight distribution."

Yeah I would be willing to bet the weight difference is only 200 pounds or so, even if it is 400 pounds, that is still not really enough to give a crap about because the torque produced by the V-8 should far outweight the added weight benefit of the V-6.

All that work and they still put an uber-rice burner single exhaust on it.
Needs more true duals.

ummm, that exhaust is far from ricey...

I am betting the "muffler" on there is simply to meet local laws, and does very little actual muffling. I have not seen the underside of those cars, but perhaps the more traditional oval shaped mufflers won't fit correctly. Most of the Supras I have seen have that same style of muffler, so who knows.

Probably beacuse with a V8, I bet you get better weight distribution.

Any word on how powerful this thing is? Are those turbos sequential? I wonder how well it handles

edit: 600th post! Woot :banana::mouse:

Uh, I'm not liking the exposed intercooler tubes or that guy's socks.

Am I the only one that thinks that the Supra looks MUCH better without the rear wing?

Even with a V8 swap the Mark IV Supra is still a Dyno whore.

Because a V8 is lighter than a I-6. And 4.7l in a drag car will get you more power and torque than 3.0 (or if you wanna pay 10k for the kit, 3.4l).

This thing seems to be either a show car or a drag car, but not much else judging from the autotragic bolted to the back of the block.
