There's more pics at the linky above :)

That's awesome. I spent a few weeks in gibraltar, but never went to the airport.

Very nice find. Intesting though dangerous i'd say. What if something falls of a truck that has no properly secured cargo. Easyly can damage a tire or so

jenksed take some high res pictures from some big ass planes, close up pics of wheels, engine...etc ;)

True! Last year I also worked at the airport in the summer, and a Delta Airlines Boeing 767 was going to Taxi out of it's parking bay, and they didn't remove all the cones...so it suck up a couple of cones and it had to stay on the ground for a whole day...

Why the hell don't they dig a tunnel?? Like in Charles De Gaulle

perhaps the Spain vs England 'battle' for The Rock (no, not the wrestler) prevents such logical things

Nice Google pic, fbc. Great airliners linky, pdanev. :D

That's not the crazy part. When the wind blows from the south, you get a huge vortex on approach to the runway. First it smacks the airplane down, and just as you've got it corrected, it lifts you up so you can't land.

Well, its like a train crossing except with planes.....

I think a bridge would be a better idea instead of a tunnel. ;) ;)

^i don't

imagine an emergency landing, and it fails and has to pull up again, would be pretty hard with a bridge over the runway

I don't really mean making a bridge over the runway. What are you crazy???!

And I though St. Maarten, Deurne and Ronadlsway were bad, this just tops it

People could just go for a spin on the runway

Imagine someone running the gate because they think they can make it...

Way to go build a air port in the most unconvienient place..
