Interesting Quotes...

Three, have some respect for other faiths. There are other people that don't worship your god, so that thing you said makes you sound like an evangelist.

what thing? I totally have respect for other religions. I don't see how anything I said is disrespectful.

Just because I know for a fact that the God I worship exists doesn't mean I don't respect other religions. You shouldn't insinuate things like that ///M. If I wasn't sure that the God I pray to is real, then what a vain religion that would be

you on the other hand, I can tell you are very bitter to Christianity. It's ok for you to post things that could be pereceived as rude to Christians, but it seems that just about anytime a Christian says something about the God they worship, you get upset. Loosen up a bit man and follow your own advice about respect :)

To me it seems as though you're just posting these religious quotes to stir up strife....

I'm bitter towards all religions, don't think you're that lucky :D.

You can be sure that your god is real all you want, but I'd rather keep that to myself to avoid offending anyone else. Hey, that's just me. Then again, I believe religion belongs in the house, period. So our opinions may differ on that.

Pardon me, but you don't seem to be very concerned about being offensive. If you're so worried about people being offended, maybe you should keep your anti-religious comments/quotes to yourself, becasue they can be very offensive to religious people, not only in this thread but others. For instance, calling people's beliefs "fairy tales" is quite offensive. Ever think about that? You don't have a problem saying offending things, but if a Christian (or other religious person) says something pertaining to religion, then they should keep it only "at home". Maybe that's where you should keep your religious orientated comments too ;)

I don't mean to be rude, so please don't take this personally. I just think that you shouldn't be so concerned about religious people offending one and other when you make comments that could potentially offend all religious people.

Now let's get back on topic.....

The voice of racism, preaching the Gospel is devilish. A fake church called the prophet Muhammed a terrorist, forgetting God is not religion but a spiritual bond and Jesus is the most-quoted prophet in the Quran.

"I think psychedelics play a major part in what we do, but having said that, I feel that if somebody's going to experiment with those things they really need to educate themselves about them. People just taking the chemicals and diving in without having any kind of preparation about what they're about to experience tend to have no frame of reference, so they're missing everything flying by and all these new perspectives. It's just a waste. They reach a little bit of spiritual enlightenment, but they end up going, 'Well, now I need that drug to get back there again.' The trick is to use the drugs once to get there, and maybe spend the next ten years trying to get back there without the drug."

"I'm sickened by all religions. Religion has divided people. I don't think there's any difference between the pope wearing a large hat and parading around with a smoking purse and an African painting his face white and praying to a rock. "

In a front-wheel-drive car the front wheels have to deal with the steering and the delivery of the engine?s power to the road. It?s a tough job and in most cases, for the purist at least, the end result is deeply unsatisfying. With rear-wheel drive the back wheels do the power delivery, leaving those at the front to get on with steering. It?s a much more expensive option but the result is balance. And balance is a building block on which something spectacular can be created.

What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy?

I was bumming around and found these quotes from Abraham Lincoln to be of great relevance today, I'm sure you can find the relevance too.
Abraham Lincoln said:
Allow the President to invade a neighboring nation, whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion, and you allow him to do so, whenever he may choose to say he deems it necessary for such a purpose -- and you allow him to make war at pleasure. If today, he should choose to say he thinks it necessary to invade Canada, to prevent the British from invading us, how could you stop him? You may say to him, 'I see no probability of the British invading us' but he will say to you, 'Be silent; I see it, if you don't.'" -

Whenever I hear anyone arguing for slavery, I feel a strong impulse to see it tried on him personally.

Nearly all men can withstand adversity; If you want to test a man's character, give him power.

Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes crimes out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

Hermann Goering said:
Naturally, the common people don't want war ... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.
