Really interesting to see how both the submitted songs and votes seem to be very diverse.

The most popular and least popular songs haven’t changed much since the first few votes, but the middle few have moved around a fair bit.

I was considering asking if we're all happy with the number of votes available, since there should (hopefully) be 17 submissions for the next round, and we have a total of 14 votes each.
I can adjust that prior to voting on the next round if there was a compelling argument for it.

But I think that's probably a sweet spot, so we're actually having to really think and probably have a few listens through the playlist, to sit with the songs before finalising votes, rather than just throwing out a +1 because "I didn't hate it but it wasn't exactly my cup..."

I am hanging out to see the comments though. Those are often the best part of this, apart from finding new music.

In the instrumental round in first instance I liked the Sigur Rós song the most (probably 'cause it sounded a little familiar 'cause I already knew Sigur Rós), but I have to say that Haavard song really started growing on me after hearing a couple of times. Never heard of them before, but even though it's not any of my usual styles I really like it.

I have not listened to the play list yet, but the titles look... interesting. In the sense of the old Chinese curse.
But that's the spirit of this round especially!

I totally forgot how annoying Dream Theater could be...

I've noticed pretty much all prog tends to be quite divisive. A result I was fully expecting, but that was somewhat extreme example to represent what "instrumental" means to me; enough technical trickery to not have room for lyrics. That kind of randomness is also quite calming to my ADD mind.

..And I should write these explanations to the league as well.

I’d also make mention here, that some members have different usernames between Finalgear and Spotify, so I’ve kept to forum usernames here as much as possible, to make it easier for lurkers, or those looking back later, to figure out who was who. The app will follow Spotify usernames.

Listening to the Round 2 playlist while making up these spreadsheets, I'd just like to point out that the Earmuffs round is like week 6...there's a few songs that would fit in that playlist too.

Having said that...I'm a little worried now for whats to come...I know what we're like...
