Can't find an old thread about this. Was listening to an episode of Smith & Sniff recently where Richard mentions his irrational fear of a bird flying out from a hedge as he passes by and it stabbing him in the side of the head with its beak. It could happen I suppose.

I realised that I have one today, while putting in my Airpods outside. I use Spotify for music on my PC and phone, the PC is often running with the amp turned on and my fear is that one day I will play music on my phone and it'll come blasting out of the PC speakers in the house. I won't hear it because I'm wearing the Airpods and it's the same music. On an old Android phone I had music play from the internal speaker while also playing through the Bluetooth headphones, was quite embarrassing.

I've always had this one about driving down the two-lane highway I most frequent. A passing truck, or one in front of me, carrying scrap metal loses a section of pipe or angle iron that then come through the windshield at me.

I've had a box truck (luckily going in front of me in the same direction) not quite lock one of its side-hinged rear doors in place, swinging out into the opposing lane 😰

I really wish that was an irrational fear. But look at how badly many loads are secured. :shock2:

It is not irrational when you see so many trucks and trailers loaded so poorly.

Well, there's a new one for the nightmare fuel.

In a world's first, doctors discover live worm in 64-year-old Australian woman's brain

It is Australia after all, frankly at this point the residents of the country deserve medals for just surviving. @Misrabelle & @jack_christie, step up to collect your medals. I think we had more Aussie members but they've probably all been eaten by the wildlife.

That's caught quite a few people out when watching porn! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

My irrational fear is walking through those old school hardware stores. You know the ones...Overcrowded, fire hazards, broken linoleum tiles, rickety shelving.
Yet, the old bloke at the counter knows EXACTLY where the obscure thing you're looking for is.

My fear is that someone will pull something, or knock something over, and the old peg boards, holding more than they were ever intended to, would fall over, and poke my eyes out.
