Just to sort out this whole mpg bullshit, a US gallon is considerably smaller than an Imperial gallon which is why these mileages seem so completely unrealistic.
For example 33 mpg in the US would only be 27 mpg in the UK. Therefore Jeremy was actually having to get about 48mpg out of the A8 for our colonial friends.

You got that backwards. 30mpg for us is roughly 36 mpg for you guys.

I believe that one horse actually manages to provide something like 14-15 horsepower. Oh yea, and it only weighs 1/4 of a ton. And the race was completely faked to begin with.

It is ENTIRELY within the realm of possibility that the race was faked.
I don't think it was, but it was a really stupid test.
