Is Elon Musk gambling his business empire?

Elon Musk looks to rebrand Twitter with the letter X

They also updated how the site appears in a browser and it is almost unusable.
First thing that came to mind from that headline..

I’m particularly enjoying the similarity between the new Twitter logo and the “stop loading” symbol in every browser that I use.

It's hard to call it a logo, it's just a unicode character “𝕏” (U+1D54F).

Someone said he should be honest and just call it Z

Conservative show host Joey Mannarino wrote that the rebranding of Twitter to "X" "could be a good thing" for the company, especially in trying to win over conservatives.

"Honestly, the word TWITTER has such negative connotations for conservatives, that a rebranding could be a good thing."

But Mannarino, who called Musk "a genius," said that he wasn't entirely sure about the new name. "You’re a genius - but I don’t see it in this rebranding," the show host told Musk. "Because what do we call our tweets now?"

Even the sycophants are thrown

I'm looking forward to the Threads ad that puts the Twitter X logo in the "close" box in the corner.

I dislike Meta, but there has to be an marketing guy over there getting ready to put this ad together:

(Video opens, 10 second montage of Musk Twitter toxicity. End with the X logo. The X logo shrinks and moves to the top right. cursor appears and clicks on it.)

(The window closes, revealing a richly saturated and colorful Thread fees of puppies, sunshine and beautiful people.)

(Fade in Threads logo.)

my suggestions:
Muskings (as in “musings” with added sycophancy)
Xenos (because anything that kind of “conservative” utters sounds quite alien)
Lix (It pleasures Elon’s balls and it has an X!)
eXaltations (for the “conservative” that can manage the big wurdz)
Alts (alt-right, alternative facts, alternate reality…)

Maybe they should just stick with the obvious and call them eXcretions.

It’s all a giant game of 4D chess and you’re just not smart enough to play by Q rules! Adrenochrome!

addendum: I had a look at Musk’s Twitter profile today (yes, self-inflicted suffering) and I may need some brain bleach. That was one seriously disturbing selection of unfiltered mental diarrhoea.

Just got so much better...

Maybe Microsoft owns the trademark for X :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Or does FB own X

I looked at one of them, and it looks like the trademark was specifically for the coloring and design of the X, but I have zero expertise in trademark law, so that may not matter.

In other news, a "tweet" will now be known as an "x". This reply is great:

So if you wanted to say "I'm going to ask my ex a question on twitter", it's now "I'm going to ask my ex a question on x"

Is it just me, or does the logo look like someone searched "X Logo Vector" and just picked a generic result from the first page of results?

"The logo rushed out by Musk doesn't seem to be very original. People pointed out that it looks just like a decades-old Unicode character. "Unicode character U+1D54F (𝕏) was added to Unicode in 2001 and has been used in mathematical text books since the 70s. "

But it's basically a sans serif version of it, with a slight thickness tweak.

Is it not just an excel logo?

Meta, Microsoft, hundreds more own trademarks to new Twitter name

My first thought when I read the CEO'S tweet about how they wanted to make it an everything-app including "video", was "xvideos.com" the porn site. 😅
