Is Elon Musk gambling his business empire?

It's only influential if people are on the platform, and right now X is making a great case for the Dead Internet theory.

Musk recently Xed:

"Very few Americans realize that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election. Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!

Let me explain: if even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years."

Musk is an illegal immigrant and insecure but his statement makes me think he's retarded. To become a naturalized citizen you must have residence for 5 years. (3 if married to a citizen). The idea that 5% of migrants will get married to a citizen and apply for citizenship so they can achieve their dream voting in lockstep with a political party they just met seems laughable. Never mind the math doesn't work.

Many legal immigrants also support the GOP's platform of being hard on illegal immigrants and fortifying the border, so his entire premise that legal immigrants automatically support the Democrats is just wrong.

Yet, tweets are still quoted all over the news media and shared all over other (less a)social media sites, and so the platform stays relevant.

Google News still posts Tweets if you click into the details of a story. I'd love to see them flooded with tickets about how X is not a news site. Some of the shit their algorithm pulls into Google News is embarrassing.

that's sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy...
twitter was always very popular in journalist circles - and it stays that way, because "all the others are there". it's a massive job some people are doing, trying to get their journalist peers off the cesspit. until that happens, it'll just stay relevant that exact way.

You rang?

Do you search on Backrub? Did you put on your Blue Ribbon Sports sneakers?

That you use the prior name of the product illustrates X is a zombie entity.
