"Can't find the server"

Can anyone else connect?

I'm sure the powers-that-be looked into this, but can BT-chat.com handle the traffic?
 
I've connected, but my download is painfully slow.
 
I ran into a different issue with BT-Chat before even starting the download: My anti-virus started going crazy and gave me notifications of four different trojans that tried to get through as soon as I clicked the link to download the HD rip of today's episode. Could be nothing, just a heads-up.
 
No, I had it doing all kinds of wild wierd stuff after I clicked the download link too. It started playing some videos that weren't visible, and then took me off to some website, etc.

This place looks completely shady and evil. Please finalgear... find a new torrent host. I don't feel safe at all clicking on links on that site

It finally connected for me... only took a hour. :(

Thebox.bz had the torrent but I couldn't get that one to connect. Curses Mininova, curses!!!
 
I dont trust it too well either. Oh, and as a update; My download took 5 hours, and I uploaded 60-140 kb the entire time. I dunno if the host site could have anything to do with it.

It has nothing to do with it. They are merely the host of the .torrent file. No different than Mininova.


However we will likely be switching to an alternate solution soon for a variety of reasons.

Playing audio = No go.
Google Chrome build if anyone was interested on the user-agent I was using at the time.
 
I had all kinds of issues on 3 different computers. Lots of extra junk and never could get to the torrent for download.
Please find another host. This one isn't working too well, or at all.

I must confess i was a bit put off by bt-chat, too: Having various empty layers supposedly filled with ads floating around eventhough (or because of) ABP...
 
I use an ad-blocking proxy so I didn't notice any advertisements and my download performance proved to be significantly better on both the SD and HD torrents of 14x03 than I have seen when we were using Mininova.
 
ive downloaded all 3 different res rates of 14x03 and i cant get any of them to play. they download and are a file type that is unknown to my computer. windows media wont open it at all. Ive been using final gear and utorrent for the last 3 seasons of top gear and never had a issue till now. is there a different torrent site i can get the shows at?
 
The location of the .torrent file is completely unrelated to what is downloaded on your end.

If you told us what kind of file you downloaded, what its name is, how large it is, etc. we might actually try and help you :nod:

it downloaded as a .MKV file. i changed the mkv to .wmv and got video but still no sound. ill try the codecs that were listed and see what happens. ill have to download the show again as in frustration i deleted it. lame.
 
If you download the SD version you will get an xvid .avi file, just like you used to get in the past three seasons. If those worked, then the season 14 SD .avi will work as well.
