The plane is meant to be used as a long distance-plane, especially Aisan areas. The plane offers relaxation in one of its several bars and has possibilities to build a mini-casino and a taxfree inside the plane ! ! !

Richard Branson offers double-beds in his edt. of the A380, and has a vision of the plane to become a 'flying cruise ship', and just as comfy.
If he gets it his way, the plane will have a gym, bigger bars, beautysaloons, and probably a casino!

His 1.st edt. of the A380 will be an economy edt. for tourists, and will room 800 people if all floorspace is used for seats.
Bransons vision is that the plane will 'only' room 500 passengers pr. trip.
The first plane will be ready for use in 2006"

Ever heard of the brand "Virgin" (airline, record company, cola soft drink, Virgin Atlantic Challenger II, etc. etc.)

He's the founder of Virgin and is a trillionaire.

You can compare him to Donald Trump when it comes to doing big business, tho' Trump mainly does property in the N.Y. area (plus some other things like Miss America ..)

So, if you want to become filthy rich, read Trump and Bransons books on how to become rich ... if that's what you want. They both think big, in every way.

The 747 started out with a lounge on the top deck too. I bet in 10-20 years all the casinos, gyms and lounges will be gone, and A380s will be just like 747s are now, just with more seats. And despite the extra room, the early adopters will still find a way to make economy cramped.

Or tall people. I once saw this 6'+ guy with us in economy class, and he had to spend the whole nine hour flight with his knees touching the top of the upright tray-table. I felt so bad for the guy.

Take a look at his bio, you'll understand, cuz you obviously don't know anything about what he has accomplished. (Not just this one "project") I have great respect for good businessmen, and he is one of the best.

Genious in many ways, commercial airfligths in space? C'mon ... give him some cred.

I know many just connect the word "genious" with names such as A. Einstein, but I'm talking our times geniouses, he's one of 'em.... If you read known and respected business-publications, you'll understand what I'm talking about.
