Activision has just announced a new original adventure of the legendary secret agent, entitled James Bond 007: Blood Stone. And to say the least, its casting is quite impressive as Bizarre Creations are in charge of the development, Bruce Feirsteina is the scenarist and Joss Stone is both the James Bond Girl and the singer of the main theme. The game will combine third person action sequences with driving ones and is planned for a holiday season release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Press Release said:
London, UK ? 16th July, 2010 ? Award winning artist Joss Stone is set to debut as the newest Bond girl in Activision Publishing, Inc.?s (Nasdaq: ATVI) James Bond 007: Blood Stone, an original Bond experience from legendary screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. In addition to stepping into a leading role, Grammy and BRIT Award winner Joss Stone will create original music for the game, luring players into an explosive third-person action adventure where they will unravel an international conspiracy across exotic locales. Players will experience full-throttle, behind-the-wheel action on land and sea while using the most high tech gadgetry known to James Bond 007, the world?s most skilled secret agent.

?James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond,? said David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing. ?In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3TM and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales.?

James Bond 007: Blood Stone features the likeness and voice talent of Daniel Craig, Joss Stone and Judi Dench and features an epic, original story developed by legendary screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. Players can engage in cover-based firefights, lethal hand-to-hand combat and speed their way through explosive adrenaline-fuelled driving sequences as they embark on a global chase leading to action on land and sea through Athens, Istanbul, Monaco and Bangkok. Gamers can also feel what it is like to be a 00 agent, as they take the battle online in several robust 16-person multi-player modes that require skill, teamwork and strategy as players compete in matches that will have spies battling mercenaries.

Joss Stone provides an original musical track to the game, titled ?I?ll Take it All? written and performed by her and Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics. The song will be featured exclusively in James Bond 007: Blood Stone.

The James Bond 007: Blood Stone video game is being developed by critically acclaimed developer Bizarre Creations for the Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation?3 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC under license from EON Productions Ltd and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM). Additionally, an original Nintendo DSTM game is being developed from the ground up by n-Space. For more information about the game, visit www.007.com.

let's hope this turns out to be as great as goldeneye used to be... it looks good so far.
good times, 4 player split-screen N64 action... that was awesome

with how everything is going with MGM this might be last time we see Daniel Craig as Bond perhaps. looks good so far, hope it turns out to be a good game.

quite surprised with how late its been announced though, around 6 months before release.

I'm surprised to see Bizzare creations as creator since I'm used to seeing them doing PGR, but alas they're good at what they do and I hope this will be no exception. Those screen shots are worrying though, the game looks a bit too cartoon, and is something I hope they fix in the time they have left. This game strikes me as very much like Everything or Nothing, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it has to do something groundbreaking for it to beat GoldenEye.

I do hope it isn't long before we see another movie. It took four years between Die another Day and Casino Royale, Everything or Nothing was basically the film that was supposed to go in 2004, but turned out to be a game instead, this is looking it might be the same case here. We'll get the game and then nothing until 2012.

the fact they've got Joss Stone on board along with Daniel Craig is enough to guarantee my interest. i thought the Quantum of Solace game was alright, hopefully this will be much superior and help continue the franchise while it takes a short break.

x2x2

although if this game is good, then I won't mind waiting longer for the next movie so much... and I was starting to think I was the only one who liked the QoS game. If this is like that but better (using the same cover system, I hope) it should be awesome.

Official Opening Credits Released,

Joss Stone "I'll Take It All"

and for comparison, here's the theme tune to QoS (movie and game have different theme songs)

"When Nobody Loves You" by Kerli

I have to say that while this new theme is starting to grow on me, I think When Nobody Loves you is much much better. Joss Stone has the vocal capability to do it, but I think the lyrics and composition is letting it down. Feels kinda rushed and doesn't flow very well.

I always preferred "When Nobody Loves You" over "Another Way to Die" in the Quantum of Solace game and it sounded more like a Bond song. The new song is ok and it'll probably grow on me over time but much like LeMans GTR mentioned, it doesn't have the same punch.

If it has offline multiplayer on par with Nightfire then I will definitely get it. Probably won't bother if it doesn't.

Wait what Bond kicks his enemies in the nuts now? That's not Bond, that's some thug. Boo Activision. Have Rare make it instead.

I spend many many hours playing offline multiplayer with a mate, we even made up our own game modes like hide & seek with a bit of paper covering half of the screen.

Might be worth trying.

ehhh, I don't know about this one. Things seem to be lacking in the good department from that trailer. Goldeneye and Nightfire forever! I love Nightfire..... now I want to play it but I dun have it anymore :(
