James Bond - Quantum of Solace

Spoilers = temp ban. I'm not kidding.

What? If they're posted without tags?
Yeah, spoil all you want within
tags. I just don't want to read this thread and accidentally see a spoiler. ;)

Ah, had me worried then.

It was great, just got back from seeing it. Did the no-sound opening of the car chase with those quick cuts remind anyone else of top gear?

Gemma Arterton is stunning as well, she should've been in it more.

damn, can't +rep you again viper.... I'll get back to you

Are you saying I had spoilers in it? Well, I'm sorry I spoiled the trailer for you then because I didn't say anything that wasn't in it.

November 14th 2008?

November 14th 2008?

Funny about that traitor stuff; I have a bunch of new co-workers from that area. Damn Ukrainians and Russians taking over...

So it hasn't premiered in the U.S?

Nope, doesn't come out untill the 14th I believe.

What a brilliant movie. Probably my favourite favorite Bond movie since Tomorrow Never Dies.

That was your last favorite Bond movie? Wow, GoldenEye or Casino Royale depending on how much action is needed.

Colleaugue of mine has seen it and says its the shiznit. I think he meant that it's rather good.
Still have to convince the wife that we NEED to see this though....

As I said it's definitely worth watching, but you really must watch Casino Royale first to really get into it. :)

Also, since watching Casino Royale, I can't stop listening to the theme song. Easily the best bond song in my opinion if you ignore the classicness of the classics and the brilliant Guns 'N' Roses version of Live And Let Die. I can't stop listening to it, and it's not a gay thing for Chris Cornell either if that's what you were thinking, I don't know who he is. But why would you think that anyway? http://img201.imageshack.**/img201/8637/dogbertxd5.jpg

 @ the Dogbert smiley. We do need one of them on these forums more often

Just got back from the film. It's past midnight and I don't give a damn. Fan-freaking-tastic.

All I will say is: the quick-shot action shots might not work in a TG review, but they sure do work brilliantly in films like this.

They do indeed...

Especially when they're kicking piles of wooden shit around while hanging from a crane. That was this film, wasn't it?

Don't ever, ever, ever change an Englishman's quote into yank speak again. Clear?!

I'm personally pretty offended by that.

The chase scenes in Siena and the mammoth explosions at the end... yeah, maybe.

Anyway, whoever says Daniel Craig isn't a good Bond after this film should be shot in the face. He's not the Brosnan tye of Bond, but a different, and from what I could tell, much darker one.

It was good. Not as good as Casino Royale, but good still.

I want more!

Ok, so I saw it yesterday. My mini review:

Too much action, too little 'Bond' imo. While watching it, I never felt "in contact" with the plot, so it was a bit disappointing.

:lmao: @ Bond giving Greene a bottle of motoroil in the middle of the desert!

Overall, I liked it, but Casino Royale was a lot better.

I saw it today and I thought it was fantastic. I think to enjoy it you have got to go expecting to see an action film, rather than a classic Bond film because it just isn't one.
