Saw this a few days ago - very disappointed with it. I expected a lot after Casino Royale, and this just let me down. Confusing plot, with two pointless sub-plots, trying desperately to string together the too-numerous action sequences. I actually checked my watch towards the end to see how much was left.
It was odd like that I thought, it was a short movie that felt long.

Well, i think this movie has CHANGED bond.

bond is not ment to have worries. hes a Egoistic womanizing bastard, who pulls of anything, saves the day, and has sex with women and never sees them again.

Emotion?- pfft what emotions?

that was the POINT of bond. This is trying to make it realistic.

WE DONT WANT REALISTIC

AND I WANT Q BACK!!! NOW!!!! thats what got me hooked into bond movies when i was 3 and a half, the gadgets and the insane stunts.

well then maybe, just maybe they are building up to that, and this is just the base, just the start. i hope to god they pull it off, and revert to old bond.

i did like the combat, especially the CQC, it seems the Bourne fighting direction guy pulled it off again.

I saw it yesterday. Mixed feelings.

It was a nice action movie, but nothing more than that. Not enough Aston Marin. Too much fighting.

This was just some thug in a suit that went around killing people. For fun. I mean, his mate dies, so he throws his body in a bin, then steals his wallet! This just wasn't Bond. The guy is supposed to be sophisticated and charming, and kills people with watch lasers and uses jetpacks to fly to safety. Still, it's a minor criticism.

It was an entertaining movie, if slightly confusing at times.

That parachute jump. Yeeeeaaaaaahhh. Opening it at the last second might work in Battlefield 2 but surely not in real life (as we are expected to believe in this new, rebooted Bond format).

Are they continuing with the Quantum plot for the next movie? I mean they left Mr White alive so presumably they need to start tying up some loose ends now. So hopefully this movie is merely part two of a series in the same way that The Empire Strikes Back was for the original Star Wars trilogy, and that it will all fall into perspective. On it's own it's a bit disappointing, but hopefully the whole is greater than the sums.

Umm... Using the excuse of BROMANCE, is your friend a... lesbian or something? (Nothing wrong with that, if she is.)
Uh, she's a girl, so therefore she's obligated to harbor some sort of judgement toward Craig's attractiveness. (In the end, though, we agreed that the guy was built "like a trash can" and had comically inflated abs - no human being looks like that.)

Watch it again... the idea may become more clear.

That probably be overkill but still... wow.

Overall good movie, more action to keep you entertained (unlike Casino Royale) but the story gets too twisted within the action. Half the time I had no clue what was going on and Red_Bull said it percisely; the ending makes me wonder what's going to happen?

It felt like there were insufficient car chase scenes, gadgets, and sophistication but I still think it was very good. I like it this way, but if they are going to make it feel gritty and real they best make all of it real unlike the parachute jump.

Also Bond is a new agent remember; he's getting emotions out of his system.
