James Bond - Quantum of Solace

I am getting more and more seriously impressed the way the whole James Bond -franchise is taking. This new rugged, cool, in your face ass kicking Bond of Daniel Craig is reeeeeeally growing on me.

When I first saw Casino Royale, I quite liked it.....as a movie in general. As a James Bond film....not so sure. At first seeing it was too surreal for me.....a blond haired, blue eyed Bond who is rude, arrogant and looks like a has been professional boxer. Couple to that the fact that Daniel Craig is a pussy: hates guns, didn't know how to drive stick and got himself sunburned during the filming. Yes, there I said it. Daniel Craig is a pussy. The Bond he acts, now HE is cool. Now I know, and knew already then, that was and is the point, it just was a bit too much for me at the beginning. Now though....I like it. I like it alot.

This new one looks veeeery good. Exactly as someone already mentioned. What could be better than an arrogant, bullying Bond ? Well....a pissed off one. I just hope this will be as realistic as Casino Royale in terms of the action bits. Yes it isn't exactly everyday stuff to go Parkour on tall cranes, but it COULD happen. Now the Aston rolling over was just silly and pathetic, but I'll let that one go. I'm still holding my judgement and not praising this as "OMGZ TEH BESTEST FILM EVAH!!????=""?#". Still.....gonna be good.

Oh and about Pierce Brosnan. I think he is the best Bond there was, almost on par with him Sean Connery. And before you all go mental, think about this: Yes, the Bond films Brosnan did, were rubbish. Except for Golden Eye. But that wasn't Brosnan's fault. He was just so cool.....I would give anything, and I do mean ANYTHING to have his charm and charisma. Just his presence on the screen is mindblowing. Daniel Craig is putting on quite a show, but he just has to do a few more films before I can totally appreciate him as a cool Bond.

I quiet liked Casino Royale and Daniel Craig. He's much more sinister than Pierce Brosnan, and to be honest Die Another day was pretty crap with invisible cars and the like. James Bond should definitely have gadgets, but they should be relatively realistic, unlike the invisble Aston Martin and the stupid icarus satellite thing.

the invisible aston, wasnt as unrealistic as you might think. They got the idea for it from the british army who at the time were developing the technology (which was briefly explained in the film) to use on making actual tanks invisible. its only recently that the army has said publicly that it is working on it.

Watch Layer Cake, he's pretty cool in there and a good actor in general. And you can't fault a guy just because he gets sunburned! ;)

I rarely get goosebumps watching a movie trailer. This was one of those rare occasions. QOS is going to AWESOME!!

When did James Bond turn into Jason Bourne?

Anyway this movie looks like it'll be awesome. Probably better than Casino Royale, which I also liked.

Saw an Alfa!

As long as the movie is better than Casino Royale I'll go see it. A freakin' 2-hour poker tournament was not what I expected from the last one.

lol, yeah. CR was good, but the poker bit was a bit boring.

This one should be awesome. ^_^

This is the first time I've thought a Bond movie has more appeal than just being a James Bond movie. This looks like a very good movie in general. :)

I suspect that's because they realized the series would end if they kept on turning out the crap broson was in (with the exception of Goldeneye ofc)

Those who dont play poker wouldn't have cared, and those that do, like myself, wouldn't have been fooled by the play that was going on at that table...:p
I have no clue how to play poker.

When bourne made a million billion dollars while old-style 70's bond in modern form "Die another day" was tanking. :)

I agree with Pierce Brosnan's Bond films weren't that good (except the first one: Goldeneye).

Has anyone ever heard of the game: 007: Everything or Nothing? They should have made THAT Brosnan's last Bond film because it was AWESOME.

I still don't think Daniel Craig was the best choice for 007... but that said... this movie looks like its going to be awesome, and I'm looking forward to it.

I have to agree, the poker in CR was done up pretty lame, it didn't feel realistic at all. Aside from that I've watched the beginning scenes of that movie countless times.

EDIT: I've watched that trailer 4 times since posting this.
