Top Gear presenter James May visits David Pipe's Somerset yard to take a look at the make-up of thoroughbred race horses ahead of the 2012 Grand National , finding the "elite athletes" have a secret turbocharger and are "in essence, rear-wheel drive".

I'm not so sure whether it will pop up again. The Grand National has always been a vicious race, and a couple of horses died in the process, including one that had been bred by a family and was heavily featured in 'human interest' segments on the BBC in the early part of the afternoon. There was a great deal of fuss in the media afterwards, and I suspect the whole of 'Grand National 2012' will discretely slip away, including James' involvement.
