Was a pretty good race, a very good race I must say.
1st of all I'm glad my laptop/videocard survived that long and that I could take part. They way I did it, was open all windows in my room and the door to the balcony, to keep my room and laptop cool. I also turned off the heating, put on an extra pullover and a scarf, but man was I freezing my ass off at the end. I could see my breath it was so freakin cold in here (outside atm is below freezing).
I also used an external monitor, turned of every process, including winamp and explorer.exe as well to make as little stress on my computer as possible, keeping the heat down.
As for the race it was pretty good one. Start went smooth (surpising actually for such a tight track with so many people, not a single restart
), then I had a very nice fight with MXM, I couldn't pass him for 14laps or so. Made one move in the 1st corner, but of course I ran wide because of late braking and he got back in the lead. Then I did the same a few laps after, came out head to head at chicane entry, and a little collision with me being maybe a but too agressive on the entry forcing MXM to touch the tires a bit.
Oh, I also had a little collision with a GTI player, dunno who it was, blue-ish skin. He tried to overtake me in the last corner, came in from the inside and I didn't see that, thought he backed off/was further behind, so a bit of collision there as well, nothing too serious though.
Later on I had several collisions with mgdk. (NOT my fault, she kept coming infront of me, who knows, maybe on purpose
)
Pit cost me a LOT of time. I had visual as well as a bit of front left wheel damage, which I could easily drive <51s times with, but of course stupid pit had to fix that.
Changed 3 tires as well. After coming out from pits I was overtaken by Mischief and MXM, firefox as well but he already was infront of me before he went into the pits.
Again a nice & close battle there with Mischief and MXM. I overtook them, then while lapping over mgdk I had to brake in chicane, while they overtook my full throttle. Then I made a pretty good last corner exit while MXM was a bit sideway, and I had about 1/2car length advantage on him before the 1st corner, where disaster happened. Somehow mgdk was there as well, and I don't really know what happened there exactly, but I got sideways, then Mischief couldn't avoid me I believe, and rammed into me as well, MXM also spun, Mischief went on luckily but I ended up facing the fence in the grass. I spun there once more, had to reverse, and lost about 15seconds there if not more. Finally I started pushing like hell because there were still 10+ laps and I wanted to catch MXM. I was gaining about 1 second per lap or so on him, was constantly in mid 50
x range,
0s splits, was doing quite good, a bit sideways on overlapping traffic here and there, but it was just not enough, very close, but not enough, I reduced the big gap to 1-2seconds before the lsat lap but there wasn't a way for me to get MXM.
But, I'm very glad that my laptop survived, and was an awesome race!!!
