I know theres some sensible people out there that can help Renesis understand that the older model's(2004 and below) are good vehicles!

One thing Ren had a hard time understanding, was that the Jeep isnt made for luxury! It's an offroad machine, and thats the way its always been!

I can attest to that, Jeeps are very popular vehicals around here becuase they work and last a long time. I don't go a day without seeing an older Jeep trucking around.

To put you into context..

his father owns one and to him it's the "ultimate vehicule"

I'm telling him that, well it's rubbish:

The interior is just plain ugly, fake wood, panel gaps, and cheap plastics. It could be worse, but for $50k... er no thanks.

As for offroad, alright, it's good, but the ultimate offroad truck as he said on MSN?

NO.

Range Rover has better technology, G-Wagen is tougher.. etc.

And now why do you have it?

Yes, they use it to bring kayaks in the woods. But like all Essuvees drivers, 90% of the time they're on the road, so why not get something that's good ON the road?

Audi Allroad comes to my mind, luxury, quiet, quick enough, AND good enough for offroad.

Your family and kayaks fit in, and with the air suspension and some nice tires, the quattro system will be more than competent enough to go in the gravel roads..

And incase you don't know, the GC's maketing is all about luxury, it's their luxury SUV.

If you want a nice jeep, get an old Cherokee, or a Wrangler, now that's simple raw offroad for you!

The Audi doesnt have as much ground clearance as the Jeep anyways! Our offroading doesnt involve driving over potholes! We do some pretty technical rock shit, over here. Its not the "Ultimate Vehicle" for me either, its too much offroad for my liking.

I wish I kept those MSN logs to make fun of you..

but well...

And FYI, the Allroad with the suspension set on offroad is quite impressive for ground clearance.

The Allroad Quattro's four-position, height adjustable air suspension designed and produced by Continental Teves is state-of-the-art and unique to Audi. It is not offered on any of the Audi Allroad's competitors. Height sensors control air spring struts at each wheel to vary the ride between 5.6 and 8.2 inches. In its highest position, the Allroad Quattro offers more ground clearance than most of its competitors.

You know what, your GC has 8.7 inches of ground clearance, that's only 0.5 inches more than the allroad! Quite pathetic isn't it? Oh.. I'm sure that hurts your feelings....

who's misinformed now?

And it's only $59k

I never said the Jeep had a ton more inches then the Audi just that it had more. hehe

I wish I saved thoughs convo's too so I can show your mom what a horrible little kid you are. haha

It was something about how my dad should move to America and become a Yankee just because he bought a Jeep? There was more bashing towards my dad but I forget right now.

Nice way of trying to get over the fact that you just got OWNED.

But I still like you, sorry about your dad though, he just has bad taste. ;)

No problem man. Now only if you knew of his other car? And what my uncle does for a living, then you'd be bowing on your knee's to the master.

muahaa

Bah American quality isn't as good as it can be with its fake wood...just use damned silver plastic like honda does...

Not to mention that SUV sucks gas like no tommrow

Sorry but Jeeps are absolute rubbish! We had one as a hire car in Hawaii and I couldnt get over the poor quality of the interior. Not only that but the seat belt was sooo tight the whole trip :? My dad said that he had no feel for the road what so ever.

It doesnt matter if they WERE built to tackle the offroad but more and more people hardly ever take their 4X4 offroad. Besides, you want something for the offroad, get a Landcruiser!

See? that's what I don't like about you.

You bring you father's salary in the Bush thread and now, you're trying to make me jealous of your uncle.. yeah right.

I know rich people too, and I don't envy them.

Since the topic is closed, just go on, tell me what's his car...

Dude Bush doesnt make that much money! I just thought it was funny that having the title of "President of the U.S.A, the most powerful country in the world", you'd make a bit more money

Umm...Jeeps. My uncle has two (a '93 and a '97) and they're rubbish....They are! First of all, they're not realiable. He had a lot of problems with both of them. Then, its the cheapness...Even the '97 Limited model, which has heated seats, leather, CD and other toys lacks a luxurious feel. However, my uncles likes them anyway. He would buy another one! Mind you, when I bought my car, he loved it; he agreed that there are way better cars (driving wise)... but somehow he still likes them. Offroad capabilities, yeah, they're there, but for the MPG you get I'd rather walk.

It's an Audi TT Coupe.

Hey man! Dont bring the STS into this, its a good car!

Yuck, ultimate doctor mobile.

Looks great, but that's about it... is it a 180/225 quattro or not?

It's sad that it's absolutely not sporty and that it's been so unreliable, cause I liked it, especially the late model ones.. and it's still got one of the best interiors IMO.

V6 one?

Dear god...

That's the stupidest one... Apart from the DSG, but then again, a proper manual is nice too.

The 4cyl is lighter and doesn't unbalance the chassis as much, plus provites easy gains with only a chip.

The TT I like is the LeMans edition, my uncle's neighbor has one, it's chipped, dropped, and the previous owner had NOS in it (WTF!)

But yeah, TT's are only about looks...
