It's a BBC show, they don't have sponsors or adverts as the BBC is funded by UK tax payers.
You think "Product Placement" doesn't exist even in the BBC? It may be paid by the licence but i wouldn't put it past them to earn a "little extra."
Yea, problably some sort of product placement. The Suzuki comes at no cost to BBC. So I suppose after getting the roll cage in, sport seat and the four point seatbelt. It would cost quite a bit more than a normal one.
And with the "stars" driving it around rather harshly, they probably need to replace the car after a while. I remember in 2004, once a wheel was ripped off the car and another time the suspension collapsed... so I think there would be more than one car needed ....
