True, but doesn't the shifting itself take longer with a long stick? A short stick placed higher up is ideal.

On the gtr and rally cars they use seqential gearboxes, so they only need to tap the shifter up and down.

Not sure how it works with this car.

That should mean that your have the little boost button that works for like 8 seconds. First of all does it make any difference while accelerating? ( a little jolt or something). ALso do you know how the little boost function actually works?

You mean the overboost I'm guessing. First there's no actual button, if I go WOT it kicks the boost up a little to raise the torque from 258 lb-ft to 273 and the max hp from 230 to 240. It lasts for 20 seconds and then goes back to normal output, and I don't know how often I can reuse it. Since it comes in on it's own you don't notice it kick in, but if I'm lugging it in 5th gear at about 2000 I notice when the 20 seconds is up as there is a bit of jerk when the power goes back to normal. Otherwise I never notice because I rarely need more than 5-10 seconds at max output to be going well faster than I need to be going.

good point, never taught about it that way
they should implement it on turbo cars, the first 20 sec max boost, and afterwards a lower boost to keep it from breaking down

Weird, a sequential shifter with a clutch, just like racing cars, it's the first time I see that in a roadcar!
