several of you will have heard about this, but for the ones that haven't, the story:
the suburbs of the French cities aren't realy french no more. in some areas, hardly 1% of the population is still french. so it be in paris.
last week, 2 guys, who had done nothing wrong, were chased by the cops (cops say they weren't chasing them), but because the boys taught they were, and hadn't done anything wrong, they decided to go hide in a high voltage electricity cabin.
bad move, they both were electrocuted to death, and riots started.
now, we're 9 days later, and the riots have spread to the other big cities in france. in total more than 1000 cars have been lit on fire, several firms and public service buildings. they even poored petrol over a handicapped lady that couldn't get off the bus fast enough, and lit here as well.
what can be done about it? the rows didn't start because the government did sth wrong (directly, caus they should've seen it comming) which they can undo to please the immigrants. they neither can negotiate with their leaders, caus there aren't any. the parents of the boys who died initially even asked everyone to calm down, that there will be an investigation etc.
and everyone who has a solution that might work, get's insulted for racist
yesterday i saw an interview with one of the youngsters who was throwing rocks to the cops, and he said: "we have nothing to win, we're all doomed, but sth has to be done"
so worst part is, that they realise they can't succeed in whatever they're trying, caus they don't know themselves
so, contribute...what can be done? (besides shooting them or sending them back where they come from)
